I know some people hate having the legendaries just "thrown" like this, but I still had fun trying to catch all of them. With Gen 3 being the first mainline game I started in, this was a blast all the way through. And getting all the legendaries I couldn't get unless I used Pokemon Bank were so fun to catch. Nostalgia may be blind, but damn was it enjoyable.

Something I really like about legendary hunting in ORAS, aside from the sheer quantity of them, is that you had to work a considerable amount to get them. For example: Regigigas. The methods to get it seems completely odd, but is satisfying to get considering that NPCs in the game hints (but doesn't give away) on how to get, alongside the surprise factor of it suddenly appearing in Regice's cave with the suspenseful music.

Wow this is nostalgiac for me, I remember how I spent a week just doing all of these legendary encounters, I loved how they each had unique requirements and locations, along with their themes from previous games. This was my first exposure to many of these legendaries as well so it was very cool. Wish the newer games did something like this instead of putting them all in the same place which gets kind of repetitive, though I guess it would be hard with how many legendaries there are now.

The theme that plays during the rain in Sootopolis after the awakening of Kyogre is called heavy rain. Very nice beat to it with a nice sense of impending danger. The omega ruby counterpart that plays after groudon’s awakening during the harsh sunlight is called Drought. This song is basically if lavender town had an evolution and is actually creepy as hell.

I really didn’t like all the ring legendaries. In HeartGold and SoulSilver, every legendary from other games was put into Johto and Kanto very cleverly, like using the orbs to get Kyogre and Groupon. It made it seem like they were part of the world that you play in, in a way that made a little sense. I guess the whole point of Hoopa’s rings is that they’re from different dimensions, but i’d much prefer what they did with the johto remakes to that.

Getting the legendaries on this game were more fun than USUM because you had to go to different places around the region during different days of the week which was more fun than the warp ride. The warp ride wasn’t bad though, it just didn’t bring the same excitement to me like ORAS did.

If they gave Regice the nickname and item requirements for Regigigas, here's what I guess would be the held item requirements if it were for one of the other two or all three: Regirock: Holding some kind of item with "rock" or "stone" in its name (Heat Rock, King's Rock, Hard Stone, Leaf Stone, etc) Registeel: Holding an item made of metal (Metal Coat, Iron Ball, etc)
