Brig is only .5 m/s slower than the sloop while going into headwind so yeah they can really keep on you when chasing.

Normally when I do FoF’s, I alliance with the pp, there (always galleons and brigs for some reason) and they are always Athena emissaries. They get the Athena loot and my crew gets the rest.

The game needs story progression, hit reg fix, and something to make being Pirate Legend meaningful or a new title like Pirate Lord that means something. The only two titles I use are Triumphant Sea Dog and Legendary Hunter of the Sea of Thieves.

Against wind I’m pretty sure the sloop is only .3 meters per second faster than a sloop. A sloop duo vs a brig trio of equal skill level, the sloop probably sinks. The brig is technically the fastest ship in the majority of situations, just not the fastest with headwind or wind directly behind it.
