A roundup of the scripts I've been posting to Mixescript. You can get the zipped scripts here:

Scripts included:
Colour Objects (by random/by position)
Fix Intersections
Adjust Spread (between objects)
Toggle Viewport Style
Attach Selected
Select Similar
Box-based Spheres
Convert to Editable Poly and Reset XForm
Center Pivot (or bottom-center)
Flatten unwrap selected objects (for UDK lightmaps...
Make Planar per face
Bounding Box Dimensions
Export Selection Individually (mostly for UDK)

cool. i forgot to say, it exports them the same name as the object, so be sure to name your objects correctly first. also, if theres a "UCX_" object with a similar name, itll move that with the object too (useful for UDK collision)

yes, a new unwrap video (using the new tools) is on my todo list, but its quite far down (ive got other tips and tricks id like to cover first, and have some scripts i want to create and share) and we've hit crunch at work so im afraid dont expect one for at least another 3 months.

im not exactly sure what youre asking for.. but if the default max unwraps arent doing a very good job i doubt i can improve on them. I'm mostly just making existing max stuff easier/quicker to do than inventing new stuff. if you have a series of step-by-step instructions you want making into a maxscript then i may be able to help, otherwise you may have to ask around elsewhere.

There is no problem with "Measure" utility, i think it gives dimensions of axis aligned bounding box not the object oriented b.b.

i could modify the script but i think most people dont want the complication of it going to the corners since thats nota ll that common. either you can tweak the script yourself (its pretty striaghtforward) or just use the transform toolbox here: docsDOTautodeskDOTcom/3DSMAX/15/ENU/3ds-Max-Help/index.html?url=files/GUID-153815B1-9C75-49B4-98F9-4F12A22FC983.htm,topicNumber=d30e57791

After spending almost 8 hours online trying to find a good tutorial, I haven't found any which could be of much help. I noticed your tutorials are quite good, and I learnt a lot from the rigging one. However, I would really appreciate it if you could make a detailed UVW unwrap tutorial, where you're unwrapping a complex model such as the indiana jones-looking model you made, and not a simple box like most tutorials. Please reply to this message so I know if I should expect a tutorial soon

Nice Handy Script`s for max- you think you can add a script that fixes avarage normal mapping. like instead of selecting eatch poly& sett to avarage planar its a easy to get ewery texture to fit to the polygon size etc but`s gets realy pain over large object ex road etc. i know i can use loft or what its called but its still lott of work to get nice uvw like you see on old car games nfs 1-4 TestDrive 4-6 etc :) (ps Norwegian+ Dyselexia)

Hey Mike nice scripts ! About the Fbx one, I tried to change the location of the export to the desktop, but didn't work. Could it be possible to do a small update, like a pop-up windows that asks " where do you want to save them ? " . I couldn't locate the folder where my test objs where exported so :/ thanks man !
