I've watched most of this series over the last few days. It's such a great gift to the music community. Thank you! It helps that the song is good too. I noticed on the video showing the settings on the rack gear that you could faintly hear someone whistling and humming the song in the background. That's the sign of a good song, when you unconsciously sing it after the music stops playing. I was doing the same thing all last night after I stopped watching.

King appears to do a thoughtful thing in A/B-ing effects, which is making sure to Not switch in/out on a downbeat - thus avoiding masking and/or the auditory illusion of an effect, as we are psyco-acoustically predisposed to hear a change when a pattern finishes a cycle and starts a new one.

Master, is there any rules to the amound of lo end on a mix? Thanx.

Many things to consider. You’ll have to watch and study. Too much to answer here. It depends on so many factors. You can do it!

Can someone explain the benefit of using curve bender over pro q3? is it because you use your eye less and ears more? thanks
@JacquireKingАй бұрын
Tone and classic band shapes. It has a sound vs the q3 which is transparent

I prefer Jacquire's mixes. CLA has done almost nothing that I care about. The internet worship of him is mystifying to me. There are about 50 mixers I would rather have mix my song, including many that no one ever talks about.

@@JacquireKing I did, sir. and the result was very good. You sir, have big ears and much experience wich shows. Thank you for sharing it with all of us!

Mixing to me is not a competition and it's no question of if there is the ONE master. Each of the guys in mixing has his / her strengths and different approaches. And instead of glorifying one and dismissing others we shouldn't limit ourselves to just the ONE mixer. Nowadays, the access to video series like this is a huge advantage for those who can pick up a thing here and there and incorporate that into hopefully a unique style of his / her own. I so much appreciate these videos.
