I feel like the second edit is closer to natural, like something you'd experience with your own eyes. I feel like in either the artificial lights in the foreground compete for my attention with the sky. I'd crop all of the artificial light

Thanks for sharing!! Awesome planning of those shots, not that easy with pleiades aligning with such a long lens! 💪 I do love the Nomad tracker ATM, it pushes way above it's size/weight. ATM I'm just testing deep sky and get 30s with 500mm depending on the way the force gets down on the tracker (from top it's easier than if the lens stands horizontally) . For the images: I do love the foreground of the 2nd edit alot better, wlseems more natural without that a bit unnatural looking purple'is blue reaching on to the foreground. I even like the sky better, since it looks less stretched. Great edit. I just think that booger'ish looking airglow isn't the colour people expect in th sky. Yellow-orangy light pollution as a gradient to the ground or a more green saturated vibe are better received I would guess. Still amazing shots, as long as you're happy with it!! Thanks for sharing!

More great photos. WRT the Orion photo, I would like to see a third version that blends the original version with all the h-alpha color and the second version with the more subtle take on the Orion Nebula. I would also like to see just a hint of the green air glow, which seems a little strong in the re-edit.

Yeah I agree, a good mix of the 2 would be nice

Definately like the re-edit better! Looks a bit more natural as you already said in the video.

Hi from new sub, as it happens, you mention the exact star tracker models that's on my radar as a newby astro photographer! MSM Rotator, MSM Nomad, Star Watcher Star Adventurer. You probably compare them in other videos, but can you maybe give some pointers for my future setup :) I have an Olympus em1 mkiii, and lenses in my bag include the M Zuiko 17mm f1.8 and 75-300mm f4.8-6.7. Q1: Can one use the em1 mkiii's Starry Sky AF in conjunction with a star tracker? Q2: Which of the mentioned 3 star trackers would you suggest for my setup? My thinking is to either get the Rotator which also has time lapse feature, and see how far I can go with that. Or get the Nomad which I read is a bit more robust, see if/how my astro photography develops, then get the Star Watcher with timelapse further down the line. The second option would mean I don't double up in timelapse feature, but the first option gives me immediate access to tracking and time lapse, and maybe the results are good enough that I don't ever need the Star Watcher.. I can afford one of the MSM models now, the Star Watcher definitely only end of year/next year. Thanks!

Thank you, I'm in no hurry. Ill check your other vids. I've used the 17mm lens for some nice star trails and general night sky photography. Only used the 75-300mm for moon shots which are obviously very bright, will have to see if low light long exposures can be sharp with detail.

@photonspark check out my Move Shoot Move timelapse video too. It shows how it can be annoying with a mirrorless camera
