Such a great series. It really demystifies the mixing and concentrates on the important aspects, great song as well!

Holy crap, I didn't know you could drag-n-drop effects from one track to another. Great info! thanks so much!

I do so appreciate these videos, Kenny. So much help to all of us. I would like to see how you how you decided on the original and final volume levels for this song and how you eq the different tracks so they don't clash with each or other or get in each other's way, if you ever get the time. Thanks a lot. Invaluable Reaper-specific videos.

Deciding on a volume for anything is pretty tough to teach. It's like saying how much salt should you put on your food. There is NO right. It's up to you. And over time, you will get more confident in your choices.

Kenny's answer here is absolutely right. There's a solid video on this subject by Dan Worrall that also unfortunately won't give you "mix by numbers" instructions, but walks us through the logic of such mix decisions kzbin.info/www/bejne/oqO4kHqNf9eAbLs TL;DW Just keep making music, you will improve

Master, what a beautiful song, can you listen to it on any platform? , I'm curious about the final sound. Thanks for the tips, it is not always necessary to compress, from time to time you have to give freedom to the instruments when they ask for it.

Great video! Another aspect to unpack is to get the sound you hear in the published/rendered clip on social media/KZbin to be similar/close to the the final mix within the DAW!

Kenny these videos of yours are golden lifelines in learning Reaper and this is certainly no exception, thanks a million!! At 0:58 & 4:13 I see that a single mixer strip for tracks you click on appears for fader adjustments. How did you do that & is there a shortcut for performing this function?

Great video. Can anyone tell me if there is any way for reaper to separate the stems of the vocals, drums and instruments of a song?💯

The guitars sound amazing panned r/l, instead of the middle.

Sometimes 60 or 70% panning sounds better than 100%

@@search895 Yeah, I always do partial pans with everything except bass. I think I'm going to start panning the effect the opposite of the instrument.

Amazing videos on guitar mixing to make it benefit the song! Brilliant! Also, this song is very emotional and those guitar lines add so much to the feel. Can you tell us the name of the song and who the artist is?

Why does it matter which order your fx are on each track? I saw that when you opened a new one you moved it up to a certain spot.
