@TheNorthernHustle3 жыл бұрын
Hey! First of all great tutorial, very helpful 🔥🔥 But I have a question about the "Stereo" Gain plugin. What does flipping the phase (to left) do? I know I heard what it did, but what is that action of clicking L doing to make it sound like that?? Just trying to make sense of how the plugin is used.

when you boost the root note two octaves up.. it was two little bumps away in the spectrum... is that usually or always the case; octaves notes showing a stronger presence
@AJOLDMUSI2 жыл бұрын
actually i doubt that theory... it seems like some bumps are other harmonics maybe idk idk i guess i could always just know what the frequencies are or check it lol

I just wonder in almost the year 2019...why we are still mixing for mono? I'm more worried about spatial imaging mixing for the coming psycho acoustic headphone implants.
@SeanDivine5 жыл бұрын
mono is a great perspective for essential balance, otherwise I wouldn't go extreme with it (mixing primarily in mono) - it should be a reference throughout the mixing process
@michaelc37477 жыл бұрын
The core principle to this technique has a name when used in a live setting and three microphones. do you happen to know what the mic technique is called? Cheers mate
@LucasBurnMusic5 жыл бұрын
What does the R Bass plugin do actually? Can't you do it by using an EQ?
@SeanDivine5 жыл бұрын
it generates harmonic content. A traditional EQ can only affect the parts of the signal present, it doesn't actually generate new harmonic content.
@rodney-jason7 жыл бұрын
Clipping like crazy on Bus 1, doesn't that affect the end-result?

RBass adds Harmonics to everything below the given frequency. Do you want two overlapping harmonics or shape the harmonics that way? What is the idea behind using two instances of RBass in series?
@SeanDivine7 жыл бұрын
Hey Johnny. That's correct. RBass generates harmonic content for all the frequencies below the given frequency. I was simply using RBass in this example to point out where we ideally want to generate harmonic content / boost frequencies in a musical way. RBass does not boost frequencies in the same way that an EQ does, sorry if that was confusing. Using two instances will simply enhance the harmonic content added.

Are to starting with the lowest note in the bassline and doubling the octaves to covert yo hertz? Your note worried about the other notes being played and your only concerned with the root note of the scale even if the root not wasn't being played for a particular song?

Sean Divine The sub bass. I know there's different instruments that play bass. But what instrument/plugin would be able to create that long rumble for as long as you need it in a song like this?
@JACKnaina7 жыл бұрын
kzbin.info/www/bejne/mGWocqqJnJtlZ7c even NF has a nice low rumble in the back when the beat intensifies. How would you be able to reproduce a sound like that? Thanks for your time btw. I really appreciate your channel
@SeanDivine7 жыл бұрын
any synth plugin (Serum, Omnisphere, Massive) can do this. The key is to not use a sample since most of those are short and more difficult to have the sustain you need. If you use a synth you can adjust the sustain / release and make it as long as you'd like and control other things like the bending. I have some of these types of bass sounds in my Serum pack.
