Yay!! You are so welcome Alison 😊 I'm so excited!!! Sugar Kelp is SO unique. I was surprised at how orange it starts and how different it looks dried. I find that it has a little bit of green sheen every now and then too! SO FUN!

Yes, it is such a fun colour! I like how it looks as it dries, and I’m thinking I should try inking it into a broader nib next time to see more of its shading. 😁 Thanks again for sharing these with me! I’m already thinking about the next colours I want to try mixing. 💗

Yay! What have you used for mixing in the past? And what types of colours do you like to mix? 😊

@@LittleCocoStudio I’ve used up a bunch of ink samples by experimenting with mixing them together. Basically if I didn’t like the ink, then I would add something to it to make it more interesting to me. It was never very scientific/precise that I would measure my mixes. But it was fun to experiment and I enjoyed making up new names for my mixes too. One of my mixes was called Shotgun Bruise. It was a funny one - named after the lovely colours I got on my shoulder after shooting guns for a day. The colour was similar to the green-toned ink you have here, and it had some shimmer in it too. I attributed the shimmer to the ‘shotgun’ as sparks from the gun powder. I tend to mix with a sample vial and syringe, but now, I could use the little droppers that I got from my Dominant Industry ink bottles.

@@deskofem that’s a great way to use up ink samples that you didn’t like! Up until now, I’d only tried mixing fountain ink for painting, but I’d like to try mixing some of them for writing, too!

The proportion of different colours of ink will directly impact the resultant colour. You can adjust the proportion accordingly. It is an interesting experiment. ❤

Thank you! Yes, I’ll have to try adjusting the proportions next time. I loved the resulting colour, but I’d also like to make it a little more green next time. ☺️

I have yet to try BPC inks!! I really really want to, but their bottles are so intimidating with the mL haha and I also want to hit free shipping 😂

I know, it’s so tempting!!! If we lived close to each other, I’d totally split an order with you. 😅
