how I mix up my nutrient water for plants in late veg in DWC... using armor si, hydrogaurd, calimagic and gh flora trio... easy and fast

Dissolve the ph- in water first,putting it directly into the mix make nutelocks or some reactions.

If you already have the gallon jugs get some hand pumps for the nutes (like a shampoo bottle) and just have your mix in ratio to the number of pumps of each (I've found the volume of one pump is consistently right around 25ml.)

I just keep them on a cart and use measuring cups to mix nutes

Once you figure out where 30 gal is in the brute just mark it with a sharpie.

Thanks for sharing, only thing I would add is you shouldn’t add PH up or down to a res. Take a cup of water out the bucket and then add the ph and add to res. Adding it straight in knocks nutrients out of solution. Minor adjustment sure it doesn’t make a crazy difference but the correct way of adjusting. Have you got a video on how you feed?

Sorry to ask a lot of questions this is my first DWC, trying to get to grips with feeding. So I refresh the tank at 700 ppm the next day it’s pretty much the same but it’s lost a lot of water so would you recommend I add just water? Should the PPM’s be dropping everyday if I’ve got the right feed? Not sure if I’m suppose to add the nutrients and add water untill I see the PPM go down then res change once a week?

@elliottdebell7783 didn't you just start by giving me pointers on how to ph my nutrient solution? There is no 'feeding' in dwc.... the roots are always in the nutrient solution... as far as maintaining your nutrients correctly, you can literally do it however you want... I dont do many water changes(so I keep my ppms constant) and other people will tell you to change it every 2 weeks(im assuming they let the ppms fall during that period... dont really know what they do)... figure out what works best for your system and that's what you should do.... if your ppms stay at a constant level, that means your nutrient concentration is on point and the plants are drinking the appropriate amount of water and nutrients to match... if your ppms fall it's too weak of solution, if the ppms rise it's either too strong or the plants are locked out for some reason(usually ph off)

@@thewell-roundednovice8852 New to dwc not new to growing. Just passing on knowledge I learned from other top growers In America. I added it straight to res for a long time but when it was pointed out you should dilute it before adding it made sense. Some minerals precipitate out of solution at high or low PH’s. I’ve seen the nutrients go cloudy when I put it in when putting something extremely acid or alkaline into before it has a chance to mix. I wasn’t trying to say you were doing it wrong.

Up to you... I rarely do waterchanges, only when I change nutrient profile really... but my system is big and I always top off with nutrient water.... once you've grown a few times you can just pay attention to the plants and add what they need or change it accordingly.... but if you just want to be safe, change every 10 or so days

Do you keep the ppm around the same? Say you feed them at 540 and come back a few hrs later and it dropped almost 100, do you feed a little every day to keep the ppm up?

If it dropped 100ppm, it's drinking nutes faster than water... therefor I would increase the ppms of my nutrient solution........ I always top off with nutrient water unless the solution is too strong and then I intermittently top up with rodi water to keep the ppms where they need to be

Im growing 5 gallon DWC and have been using 5ml/gal of each G.H. Flora part. I was using 1ml/gal as soon as I got roots on my clone.. Am I using too much? My plants seem fine but I'm a noob..lol
