great sound, I do a very similar thing but miss out the gate part, just send midi straight from your ezdrummer track to the resamplomatic track which is set to trigger to a fixed midi note, works great!

Nice videos, man. Keep 'em coming up. And also that sample sounds awesome, any chance you can upload them? Thanks anyhow!

Lovely video. A couple of nitpicks, though: 1. "Oversampling" already means something specific in the audio world, and it's not sampling drums. 2. You could have just sent the original MIDI to your extra snare track rather than using the gate to get a MIDI note.

thanks for the tips man. glad you liked the video. 1 is a good point. maybe a rename is in order there. for 2, often I don't want the sample to trigger for every note, just the full hits so that's why I tend to use the gate trick.

Fair enough.

Can i use my own samples on the software?

What ampsim are you using. Totally love this tone!

Can you do the same thing with multiple snare samples, that compliment each other of course, in order to negate the machine gun/robot sound even more? I of course mess with velocities and timing first, but having different samples I feel could help more. Is there a way to do what you did with other samples and have Reasample randomly switch through theme?

Thanks for watching. For using multiple samples I would recommend something like APTrigga 3 (which is quite well priced). You can use the gate technique used here, but then load multiple samples to trigger depending on the input volume

Hi. Been looking everywhere for a link to that browning snare you used. Is it still up anywhere?

use midi guitar such as shreddage, realeight etc or record yourself at lower speeds. if the latter is chosen, hit every note perfectly then speed the shit up. use just copy and paste, don't waste time playing your instrument. boost an hi gain amp sim and use some badass ir, cut the mids, tighten the low end. play mostly diminshed and whole tone scales, use dissonance, use the neck pickup for tippy tappy sweepity swoop leads and use min 2nd or 5th harmonies with a bit of delay. bass isn't really necessary but you can do the same as for the guitars, better if you eq everything out and leave just the sub. forget about drums velocity and humanization, don't be afraid to use 32nd notes. hard compress everything.
