One of the best reverb videos by far, I’m a big fan, thank you for all your time and dedication.

There are people who make tutorials and hold stuff back because they don't want you to know 'too much'. Thankyou for laying it all out there so to speak. You are an excellent natural teacher. One of my top 3 individuals on youtube regarding music production ☺

Each time I watch your videos, I'm stunned how vast, and deep, your knowledge of the subject is. Just by listening to the track, one can tell it goes way, way beyond knowing what the plug in controls do :) Even though I do my best to digest the information bit by bit, all I've mastered so far, in comparison, is like sitting on tip of an iceberg. A sharp one. Ouch.

Your videos are great. For some reason the way you explain things works well with the way I learn. I find reverb super difficult because I like it but I don't like it at the same time. Only when it sounds good but it never sounds good when I do it. Thanks.

+Damien Dubose Reverb is a deceptively hard thing to learn. the basic setup shown here is only the starting place. You also have to look at the way it contrasts other verbs in the mix. Cheers! mike

HI MICHAEL - what sample-rate should i work...THANKS FOR THE VERY VERY GOOD TUTOS
@mixingwithmike9 жыл бұрын
Cheers Ebubekir! A quick answer is that it depends on how many tracks and how much processing your computer can handle. If you are recording Acoustic Guitar/Vocal songs, it is worth going at least 96K 24bit. If your productions are very big, you will never be able to stream the audio and processing unless your computer is a beast and you divide the audio files between several drives. The only way to find out what will work is to start with a session at 96K and see how far you get before you run out of processing. At that point you can always convert the session to a lower sample frequency. Then you will know how many tracks your system can handle. Hope this makes sense. Thanks! Mike

ebubekir yilmaz and what you mean with - divide the audio files between several drives - ???
@mixingwithmike9 жыл бұрын
If you have a lot of audio files at a high sample rate, one hard drive will not be able to buffer the files fast enough. In these situations it is necessary to divide the workload over 2 or more hard drives. In Pro Tools this is called Disc Allocation. Hope this make s more sense! Mike
