Very useful and interesting. The look at the various underside shades was most revealing. Very much looking forward to the German vehicle colours, especially the various shades of RAL 7028.

After a few nightmare trips to a certain forum for RLM colour questions lol THANK YOU FOR THIS series.

Will definitely make use of your formulas. I have ICM's set of 80 on their way to me from Squadron Hobbies here in the states. Thank you for sharing!

God to hear you can get ICM in the US

I'm impressed with the range ICM does for LW, seems quite well researched and implemented if it is that easy to get it close to the chips. Good job ICM & Alex :)

This is awesome. I love being able to have this guide and learning about color matching science. I am ordering up some ICM paints so I can give it a try soon. Looking for the the RLM part 2. Are you planning on doing a mix guide for FS and RAL as well?

Thanks! I will be doing German AFV RAL colours next, and will get to RLM part 2 and other nations etc in the New Year

Alex, very interesting. Looking forward to you covering some AFV colours, German and allied. Next AFV (Churchill) requires SCC15 and I’ve only come across a Vallejo (I only use water based) mix so trying that. I’m trying Atom paints also but there is no single colour for this and no idea of a mix. With your mixing guides I may need to move to ICM paint if they are good for airbrushing as hairy stick?

One would think ICM can mix themselves by this recipe and sell the results as Standard RLM colors.
@MannsModelMoments17 күн бұрын
Possibly, but I'd prefer a generic set and for them to concentrate on making models....

@@MannsModelMoments To avoid calling myself lazy I would allude that I can't hope of replicating precise paint ratios with my modest toolkit. I bet I am not alone.

Looking forward ot this video as my next plane is bf109. By the way which decal solution do you use with ICM paints and varnishes? My mr. mark setter activates the icm stuff.
@idwalwilliams3713Ай бұрын
Same here, always fun
@MannsModelMomentsАй бұрын
I only use Pledge as a decal solution, so not sure on that one...

'What is correct?' There's no such thing, depending on age, wear, damage, repaint, etc., and that's even assuming the start point is always the same. Therefore it's a nonsense debate about which you're right Alex not to get drawn in.

Yeah, I agree - considering weathering changes the perceived shades massively as well, people's obsession with the "right" colour is like King Canute trying to command the sea!
