listening to this set, first house set I've listened to in a long time got me thinking, the problem with house music is the lack of male vocals. They always have female singers no effects and then they sometimes use male vocals detuned or female vocals detuned to male range but they never have normal male vocals, what gives, ?

There are quite a few male vocals in the soulful and gospel house subgenres. If you go to Traxsource you'll find some. Not sure why male vocals don't get as much play though. Peven Everett has some of the silkiest vocals in house history.
