Hi super creative.. Pls help how to back without oven...
@JMeicaDC3 жыл бұрын
Hi Selvakumar, I tried baking it before without using an oven but uses essential oil burner. but the problem using that is you won't able to control the temperature and you can only bake small pieces, which makes mine unbake or burnt before. which is why I don't suggest doing it. I see some uses microwave in baking but submerging the clay into water but I haven''t tried doing that.

Did you do sanding and buffing after the bake? If you're not how do you remove any finger print left? Anyway, these are great techniques! Thank you for sharing!
@JMeicaDC3 жыл бұрын
Hi Augustine, Thank you 😊😊😊 It actually depends. Usually I smoothen it out using the tip of my finger, to remove the prints. But if incase there are still some finger print left after baking I sand them either manually (using sanding paper) or using my drilling kit, which have head for sanding too. I hope i was able to help 😊😊😊

Hi Elizabeth, Thank you 🥰🥰🥰. Not sure if you heard of Xclay premium and Ailto brand. But these are the brand I use in my project. Ailto brand ia a but crumbly when you havent kneed on it. But once you condition it, it much easier to work on it. For the clay extruder, here's the link of the shop where I bought it shopee.ph/product/203074144/5146864717?smtt=0.25109970-1604814033.9

I love your work. what brand of clay are you using?
@JMeicaDC3 жыл бұрын
Hi Naledi, thank you very much. I usually used Ailto brand for my clay, because it is accessible in my area. tho the texture is really crumbly so you will need to knead it continuously, to easily work on it :)

I tried to do the twist method, but my clay started thinning and eventually split. Any way to prevent this?
@JMeicaDC3 жыл бұрын
Hi neeveeyeah, what I would suggest is when you twist the clay, try not to do it on the same area, instead gently twist it from one end going to the other end of the clay thread. and when you noticed other part is thin,, move to the other part of the clay that is thicker and start twisting from there instead, this will avoid that part to completely becoming really thin and eventually split. I hope that is helpful

Please tell me what your method is for adding the backs to these.
@JMeicaDC4 жыл бұрын
Hi Bonnie, do you mean how I add the blank stud at the back of each earrings? I usually sand the baked pieces to make it a bit flat before drilling them and attaching the blank stud. if you have further question don't hesitate to ask me :😀
@bonniehappiness25794 жыл бұрын
@@JMeicaDC what do you use to attached the stud. Can I use E6000 glue then add liquid skulpey?
@JMeicaDC4 жыл бұрын
Hi Bonnie, I haven't tried using e600 on my pieces, I usually use loctite super glue. I ensure to sand the blank stud first before adding glue to it and attaching it. I have seen other use TLC alone as an adhesive, and they mention it is pretty impressive. What I would suggest is to test it first in small clay first before using it in your pieces, just to make sure it won't ruin your masterpiece
@elizabethtowers30482 жыл бұрын
How do you ensure the clay pieces stick together without smushing them?
@JMeicaDC2 жыл бұрын
Hi Elizabeth, I only put light pressure when attaching them together, I usually ensure that every part of each pieces sticks together. Once baked the clay itself will do the magic and both will be securely attached. This are applied when you attached to both clays that are unbake, or cured and unbaked clays. but if there are mica powder in between i usually use liquid clay to secure the attachment. Hopefully that is helpful. :)
