Miyako playing her 7 string guitar. She also wrote this song.

Ah, good ol' SLR. Aya Kamiki, the singer, was in a band called Uroboros. Their guitarist was Takayoshi Ohmura, most notably one the guitarists from Babymetal's Kami Band. Uroboros was only around for a year or two and didn't release much content. As for SLR, they only released this one EP. I have a physical copy of it, and I actually had to promise to never reveal where I got it. The CD has three songs, "Phoenix," "Rock N' Roll Revolution", and "Tragic Sky." Aya wrote the lyrics for all three songs, but Miyako only composed the music for "Phoenix." There was also a region two DVD included. The DVD has Aya and Miyako performing the three songs at a venue in Shibuya called clubasia. The second guitarist for this show was Leda, also most notably one of the guitarists from Babymetal's Kami Band, and Miho and Midori were backstage for the show. Miyako was endorsed by S7G (Strictly Seven Guitars) playing her customized Cobra. And that's all there is to Sonic Lover Reckless. The live show was on September 14, 2018, and SLR disappeared from the social media of both ladies by Christmas of that year. Aya has gone on to do solo shows, at least one of which was at a festival in Kansas City, musical theater, done vocals for the Kamen Rider series, got married, and had a child in 2020. And I just realized this was a re-upload. I _thought_ you had done this one before.

Try Miyako's first band, a Drop Of Joker"Beat Maker" [Official Music Video]. That's when she switched her goals from guitar hero to multiplayer. so young!! The Lovebites songs "Liar" and "Scream For Me" were originally from a Drop of Joker. The band arrangement is added so that the "A Drop of Joker" version sounds like a rough demo tape.

Here calmly drinking coffee watching until Wave notices it's Miyako...xD Aya Kamiki is a singer that was pretty popular in the 2000s, so when Miho created Lovebites in 2016 Miyako was engaged into this project, that at that time to play together with Aya must have felt like a great chance for her. That's probably why Mi-ya is credited as a guest artist in Lovebites first EP and album. But Sonic Lover Reckless never took off, and Lovebites did.

Sonic Lover Reckless disbanded not too long after this due to Aya retiring to raise her kid. Technically Miyako was only a support guitarist when Lovebites started since this was her main gig. Once Aya retired Miyako joined Lovebites full time.

The one time I've seen about why SLR didn't continue is because LOVEBITES was taking off and Aya's musical theater career was becoming more serious. The only thing I've seen her say about motherhood happened in 2020, roughly two years after SLR.

@@PaleHorseShabuShabu So it was a side project for both of them. Interesting, never heard that about this group.

@@ckiemnstr345 I don't know if this was intended to be a one-time side project, but that was the result.

I read on a Japanese forum (I hope the google translation worked correctly) that in the studio recording Miyako plays lead guitar, second guitar and bass.

This is what Miyako needs a good vocalist to compliment her guitar like Lisa X and Hazuki

Oh lord I can't believe you did not recognize Miyako. OK her gear was a lot more raunchy that what she wears with Lovebites but still!!!!

I found this group a year or so go as well. It's a bummer that they're gone, but we still have Miyako in Lovebites. Their other songs are good too. I saw the title and kept waiting for you to recognize her. To be fair... they didn't show her face for very long in Any of the shots and the music (and the outfits) kinda steal the show in this video.

That's Miyako Watanabe of Lovebites - she has a partner guitarist in her current band, Lovebites, who is equally as talented, Midori Tatematsu. You should check out Lovebites if you haven't already; they are a phenomenal heavy metal band.

Howdy, long time no see. This duo released only one album, a set of one studio recorded CD + one live performance DVD, and live is pretty much different from this MV. it is still available in the market. The price is about 20$ at Amazon Japan. They both were busy with each own activities back in 17. Miyako was starting up with Lovebites then.

There are actually three guitar tracks here, and Miyako recorded all of them. My understanding is she also played the bass line. As others have filled you in, this was her other gig at that time Lovebites were formed. Imagine an alternate reality in which it was SLR that took off...

Wow! How cool is that. I would love to know your source for that bit of information.

I love this ep. The songwriting is fantastic, and this is when I realized Miyako is one helluva guitar player. I actually like this just as much, if not more, than Lovebites.

I love Miyako guitar playing. Too bad this band did not last. I am not into the Lovebites opera style singing. But others do. I used to listen to Iron Maidin back when the first came out. Lovebites style is similar
