I have read that contrary to media, almost all samurai duels were over in 1 swing each. It's even talked about in Book of 5 Rings that a minor injury to calf or fingers resulted in ur death, if you can't move or lift your sword, you concede with honor.

Kojiro here used his infamous Tsubame Gaeshi technique, a technique that could apparently kill a swallow mid air. But Musashi won because he blinded Kojiro with the sunrise and use an oar which was longer than Kojiro's Nodachi.

To be fair, Kojiro wields an odachi which is a longer variant of the Japanese sword and is a legendary master at it, Musashi would be outranged if he tried to fight with his normal katana
@LoliLover366693 жыл бұрын
@@justs_ I don't really think Musashi is fair in that regard since it's a known fact that he's a dual wielder. Having 2 swords seem a lot better than having a long heavy sword that Kojiro wields
@justs_3 жыл бұрын
@@LoliLover36669 But that’s the thing, Kojiro mastered the odachi to the point where the weight doesn’t hold him back. Musashi may have mastered dual wielding but when you have two master swordsman with equal or very close skill level, the one with more range almost always comes out on top.

Nah Vagabond is Shounen trash, it has no realism, at one point Musashi was creating after images with his speed, and he was blushing and acting all shounen wimp, that is far far from realism if u consider the barbaric nature of 1500 and the nature of Rounin.

I'm pretty sure no one is going to reply on this but here I go. When you fight a skillful opponent. 1. Never let your guard down. 2. Stay calm and sharp. 3. Mind over emotions. 4. Presence of mind. That's how Sasaki lost, even if you could all tell that Musashi won by his tricks and strategy. It is still Kojiro Sasaki's fault for losing, instead of using his presence of mind, he lets his emotions overpower him. So what if Musashi is late? So what if Sasaki thinks he's being mocked when his opponent is using something that would insult his honor? If you want to win, stay sharp, stay focus, no distractions. This is according to my big brother's perspective (Who is also a Military Op) after he saw the comments about Sasaki should've won if Musashi didn't cheat.

If you understand why musashi said “Kojiro you have now lost, why else have you thrown down your sheath.” Is because all kojiro had to do was block musashis wooden bokken with his sheath and cut with his real sword and it would’ve made the fight more difficult for musashi
