Your next romance anime should be Higehiro. It's got an amazing story, even more complex and well-crafted than Horimiya, it's a lot more serious, and it was actually quite controversial in Japan when it released, due to certain laws, and what the two leads actually wind up doing. It has a fantastic (and happy) ending, but if that scene from Horimiya made you cry, you better have a whole box of tissues ready for Higehiro. Someone else also suggested Tonikaku Kawaii, aka Fly Me to the Moon, and that's another phenomenal anime. All I can say about that one is, it's a well-made romance anime like Higehiro and Horimiya, but you _have_ to go in blind. Just pay really close attention to the kinds of things the female lead says, and whatever you do, _do not_ look up the translation for the lyrics of the opening theme. Mega-spoilers in there.

I love that part of Remy's value system is based around how people treat Sakura. She lights up whenever someone includes Sakura or compliments her and shies away from the boys who put Sakura down. Sengoku didn't realize it but by being so nice to Sakura, he stood out to Remy. I really enjoy Sakura and Remy's friendship/sisterhood.

I think it also comes down to the fact that if they're being kind to Sakura, then they're actually being kind and not just trying to get closer to her

@@javierflores09 Agreed although you can imagine people being nice to Sakura in order to get closer to Remy. What works for Sengoku is Remy saw him defend Sakura privately with his friends. He rejected the "beauty and the beast" thing that Sakura and Remy hate. She knows he's likely being sincere

The “can I just die” moment will never not It hit me cause that is such a dark line because a past version of him is saying this to his current self, it implies Miyamura really was contemplating death back then and what could of happened if he never met Shindou or Hori he might of actually done something

you guys should do "the dangers in my heart" ist a cute love story, but is also a story of someone with deep inscurities (like Miyamura) but with not only his romantic relationship develops, but also his selfsteem... if you like a romace with great development not only for the couple but the the individiuals thats probably one of the best out there...

I had to hold back on commenting on the last episode’s Hori is a freak until at least this episode. Most of the time she’s sweet, but she does have some troubling behavior, and not just her kinks. I think the reasons Hori’s parents like Miyamura so much isn’t just because he’s a nice guy, but they also know what their daughter is like.

Remi and Sengoku are my fav, they are just the most wholesome pair in this show. You should watch The dangers in my heart after this one (or after you finished the "second" season). The dangers in my heart is like my top 1 romcom anime.

Yeah man, Miyamura past is really sad, he also pierced himself back in middle school as a form of self harm, that scene also broke me, btw can't wait for the next episode coz Hori's freaky arch will continue lol Btw Remi and Sengoku (the student consil president) are way more enjoyable in season 2, they are more cute and wholesome and quite hilarious lol

I know its a little early but please react to the 2nd season after you finish the first. It's not exactly a sequel but missing parts of the manga that weren't animated but its really good nonetheless. I'm sure you two would enjoy it just as much as season 1.

as nice as the anime is, its sad that about 130 chapters was smashed into few episodes. if u feel like many many weeks are being passed in a single episode thats the reason. its extremely rushed in terms of story pacing
