Takamura always gets in some troubles when fighting champions in his weight divisions, the only fighter that we have seen give Ricardo some troubles was wolly and it was just because he wasnt used to someone fighting like him, but once he got used he destroyed wolly, and it has already been said that if ricardo is not a multiple weight divisions champion is because he just doesnt want to. As we are all HNI fans, there's no real need to explain this, but i still recall this arc fondly. Miyata's father is helping Miyata prepare against Randy Boy Jnr, whose boxing is a natural counter to Miyata's due to the constant stance shifting. Having analysed videos of Randy's matches, they realised that he is called the Asura because his switching makea it appear as if he can look left, right, and straight simultaneously (which is kinda what Sendo had when he had no guard). Randy's a skilled boxer, and a hard puncher on par with Sendo and Ippo, with a style that involves memorising his opponent's rhythm via hits in order to disrupt them. Again, basically what Sendo was doing near the end of the spar. Miyata realises that Sendo is perfect practice against Randy, so he even goes as far as to plead for his help. Sendo initially refuses, but then his manager appears and makes Sendo agree to help as an apology (Sendo turned up at Miyata's gym without an invitation to do a beat tour of Japan's Boxing Gyms). Without Sendo, it's very likely that Miyata would have lost against Randy, and it's only befitting that Miyata helped Sendo train agianst Ricardo Martinez! 😂

I love both of them very interesting match up it's like watching Ali vs Foreman but i still leans towards miyata's style of boxing, sendo is powerful and does not backout ever on a fight he just eats anything you throw at him. I just hope he's upcoming fight against Martinez would not be very sad or atleast a good well done fight. In Miyatas case here he kinda suffer on weight control affecting his foot work but the fight he had against adobo boy Randy jr he manage to pull of the best he have in terms of speed and accuracy. But ippo has 3 losses though. & on top of that, miyata has been calling ippo out in the anime but kamagawa was avoiding the calls bc he was afraid ippo might lose.
