Well, if you are referring to more popular in the U.S., I can only guess. He did just move to the U.S. last yr. Im sure his team is working really hard to break him in to the U.S. market and get him more exposure. It takes time. Miyavi is very hard working. I think he was only home for about a minute with his kids for the Holidays and now he is back flying the world again. I do think more and more people are discovering him. He really is unique.

you CAN, im sure he would tell you the same, it takes patience practice, and PERSEVERANCE! i started down my path to playing bass guitar a few years ago, and i never thought id ever be very good at it, because everyday was hard, i never felt i was getting any better. But after some time, i did! and now i don't only play bass, i also play guitar, drums, AND sing! never allow yourself to think you can't do it, trust me the only thing holding yourself back is you man, Jason Becker was one of the best guitar players in the world in his time, and he got ALS, which did not allow him to move his body, but with sheer perseverance, and a little help from some friends, the man wrote an ALBUM that was AMAZING, from a WHEEL CHAIR! do it man, i believe in you.
