2nd lieutenant rank is abolished. Now, officers are directly Commissioned into Lieutenant rank. Havildar Major was used for the seniormost NCO. Now they don't use it except artillery and air defence. Jemadar is also now abolished. Sepoy rank is different in different regiments like, Paratrooper in Parachute Regiment, Signalman in Signals, Sowar in Armoured corps.

@@niswana.s Sorry, there is a mistake I made, UPSC CDS OTA is for non technical streams athin age limit 24 aanu when appearing for exam. To be an engineer there is an entry called SSC Tech Woman entry, where there is no exam, shortlisting is based on the marks or percentage in engineering graduation. For SSC Tech entry, the age limit is 26 when appearing for interview. After shortlisting for SSC Tech or clearing UPSC CDS you will be called for a 5 day SSB interview. Physical ayit prethyekich onnum illa, pakshe ee 5 day interview il or 10 obstacle course ind, so you need to be fit inorder to clear the obstacle course. Allathe, 5.30 minutes il 1.6km ottam or 10 pushup athonnum ssb interview il illa.
