Just found a used set of 923 forged irons at Dicks last week. 6-GW for $350. They were maybe, hit once. They were a 1/2+. Cut them to my specs, and now I have the perfect set.

I have the 923 hot metal pros. They go far but don’t have good feel

That’s what I’m gaming too. They feel great! I did replace my 5 iron with a hot metal :)

I appreciate the honesty of your review. I play the 923 Pro iron 5 - GW. Currently the differences in the 925’s don’t appeal because I’d have to see more benefits to make switch mainly for costs. As for dispersion we all learn our swing and shot tendencies with each club change. But in some case like in shooting if the barrel in off line then no mater what you do nothing can correct the problem. Swing issue and club fitting can correct as you know. I enjoy your channel content and also follow fellow golf content creators.

When a new model comes out it isn't necessarily targeting the person who bought last years clubs. It is for the person who is in the market for a new set. Same as new cars.

Always love the honesty and getting straight to the testing.

I play the 923HM and appreciate that the 925 is an incremental change - that’s good enough for to order them.

I have the 923 hm pro 6-pw. I have the 923 hm 4 and 5. The higher launch of the 925 pro has me interested in the 4 and 5 with the lower offset compared to the standard hm I have. Good review!

I have the 923 HMP and s23 wedges. Good to see the improvements being claimed, but definitely prefer the looks of the 923

Upgraded to . . . Yonex 901s 6-PW after seeing your video of the Yonex irons. Replacing my older Callaway Apex 21s with the more GI friendly (for me) 901s. After 18 holes yesterday, I can say my experience was similar to yours AJ. My occasional toe shot (6i) showed a little more yardage than a solid 21 - 6i. Beautiful, solid hitting clubs, thanks for testing them!

They are really solid. Glad you are liking them. Going to review the driver soon which I am also a fan of.

Great video AJ… I’ve been playing the JPX 900 HM for years and I love them…. Would love to try the 923/925s though just to see what they’re like… 👍

I play in the wind, always, do not need high-launch.

I play the 923 PRO. Do not see anything that would make me want to switch.

I read that they are using tungsten inserts in the new irons, don't they?
@EFGMC2 ай бұрын
Yes, I may have misspoke in the video and said titanium but it's tungsten.

Got fitted to 923 HMs like a month before the new model came out at a fairly discounted price, definitely not worth the upgrade anytime soon.

It seems that the "Law of Diminishing Returns" applies to golf technology. Marketing on the other hand marches on.

Golf at this point is running up against a wall built on physics and the rules of golf. Any changes will be small at best.

Really don’t care where Mizuno is heading with all of the new iron offerings. So many and they are all the same! Many of us don’t need no stinking improvement irons! I went on their Japan website and they have the MX 20’s. Cavity back forged players and above irons in two different versions. Not 12 or whatever it is now.
@adambarnes41912 ай бұрын
I think Mizuno makes a good product but they need to stop jacking the lofts. Maybe they need to do it because of the tungsten tech that is going into low sole and creating higher launch. But sub 5k spin rates with a "7" iron is getting a little crazy imo. Great review. Appreciate it.

Cobra has been doing this for years. I hate it. One of the reasons I moved away and bought srixon.

It's only crazy when you don't factor in the distance. Say you hit a newer model 7 irons 15 yards longer than your older irons. That you aren't hitting the same# iron for the same distance. You would need to hit a 6 iron or possibly a 5 iron to match the distance of the newer 7 iron. That means you are dropping about 1000-1800 rpm to match the distance of the 7 iron. However you have also dropped launch angle and descent angle. That's the comparison you need to make.

I think that’s exactly what they did. The 925 and 923 are the same lofts but…. The videos by golfnut indicate more forgiveness across the face on 925 vs 923. GolfNut has the 925 HM Pro as the best GI iron.
