Absolutely agree, its one of the nicest finishes I've seen on a wedge yet, looks a shame to scratch 🙂

I bought a 54 and 58 today in the copper denim finish. It looks even better in person. A piece of art.

Wedges are in a science of their own! I still use my Mizuno Black Ox ! They rust mainly on the groves. And the bottom. I really still enjoy them. Especially my 60° 😊

Excellent review as always. My wedges are long overdue a replacement. My in only criticism with my current Mizuno wedges is the font makes it difficult to distinguish between my 50 and 60 degree wedges. As for performance they have been outstanding.

With the new stamping on the toe end of the sole it makes it sooooo much easier to identify the right club in the bag 👍

Great review, even more lesson then a review :) Agree with you in many points ;) Most important points plus my five cents: 1) Whether T22 or T24 or any other brand, differences are actually only marginal.... buy those you like and spend hours on practice range to know them as much as you can 2) Use Forged in case of PW and GreatW, for a full swing shot you can feel the difference, not that important for SW, cast is good enought for bunker shots 3) As you said.... always use lowest loft you can for a shot and 60deg with low bounce.... is for Pros not for high hcp club players 4) Raw rusty.... nonsense that looks only weird in the bag.... marketing nonsense which makes you to buy a new one once you start hating the rust in your bag 5) Plus please, add reviews that include some "after a time" look of reviewed clubs.... spend hundred hours with them and show how they look like after, especially copper and blue finish are prone to be worned out Thanks

I have an old Cleveland dynamic sole grind 60 degree wedge. Would you say the v-grind is similar to this.
@sevesellors283111 ай бұрын
Watched a video on these in a wet test finished best and Ping glide second. Vokey and Cleveland were way behind. The Mizuno were 3% less effective and the Ping 5.5% the others 33% worse that’s a big difference so the Mizuno technology works. I think I’m right in saying that Mizuno have no upcharge for graphite shafts which is unique but don’t shout about it I’m mean that’s a £100 saving on a set of irons. Great review by the way. Will you do a review on Mizuno balls?

Very much so, it is nice to be able to have the bounce if you need it with a straight face but then be able to manipulate loft and keep the leading edge down by handle raising or lowering 👍🏻

Big fan of T22. Still playing 54 S 12 bounce - great for full swings and everything in between. How you think T24 compare ? Still soft feeling ? Spin/check ups ? Same same or ? Audio feedback similar ? From one mizuno fan to the next any feedback and thoughts much appreciated. Thanks for the review !

Looking at the pics, there looks to be a more pronounced ridge on the sole than with the T22. Would this affect performance at all ? Maybe it would need smoothing out on the grinding wheel
@adambarnes4191 Жыл бұрын
The v sole is interesting. I play s grind on my 55 and 60. I tried the d grind but I'm a bit too steep and I flub it. S gives me enough bounce for full shots and I can still open it for greenside shots. Raw for me, purely cosmetic I'm afraid.

Would be interested to see how the V grind suits people as time goes on. Apparently a lot of the guys on the different tours who have messed around and play the wedges have had a very similar grind applied..... What's good for the best..... 😊

I was fit for clubs that are 1/2 longer than standard one degree up. Does that usually extend to sand and lob wedges

If they were purchased at the same time and the conversation was had then they should all be made to the same extra requirements. If however its done individually then maybe not depending on the conversation at the time. I'm a fan of continuity so would initially go with it being done at the same....

Were you able to confirm, or disprove, the lowered trajectory due to higher cg?
@AskGolfNut Жыл бұрын
That's a really hard one to answer due to the relevant differences every day however I can categorically say its definitely not higher than the previous model, so if anything equal or lower. Again I'd have to test day after day to see a progressive trend.... 👍🏻

If you are a shallow angle of attack, do you want more bounce or less?

Typically LESS but that is very much down to your low point control consistency etc, but as a general rule its Less 👍

I am in the market to get my first wedge. Only having hit my brother's 56deg cleveland wedge and of course my own pitching wedge, I am overwhelmed by the choices I have. I am currently using the MP 245 which I bought after watching your review of it and naturally, I would like to go for mizuno's own wedge. I would like to get one wedge first to start and since the PW is 43deg, I am not sure which loft I should go for. Ultimately I only want to use only 2 wedges(excluding the PW). Loft gaping taken into account, am I correct to think that it is ideal to aim for the 48deg and 54 deg? Or should I increase the gap between them and opt for a sole grind that allows for better manipulation of the loft?
@JTWno1 Жыл бұрын
I don’t agree with the boron material I think 🤔 they are making the wedge a lot harder in terms of feel and the copper finish why not just make an entire head out of untreated raw copper like back in the day.
@AskGolfNut Жыл бұрын
I think it was due to the sheer number of durability complaints with the softer heads. I agree in that I'm also someone that likes the supreme softness of an iron or wedge and would put up with accelerated wear on the basis of such but with people nowadays having many platforms to be vocal and also the cost of clubs at present, having something that lasts a touch longer although feeling a touch harder is the balance they're trying to meet 👍🏻 Thanks for the comment and for watching 👍🏻

How is the offset and leading edge vs the T22s? I LOVE my 58 x grind t22 , bent to 61 almost zero offset etc.. also the leading edge is very straight on the 22s. I thought I read somewhere that mizuno went and messed with it :/ not true hopefully?
@AskGolfNut Жыл бұрын
Actually much like the range within the T22, the T24 leading edge changes with loft so the lower lofted wedges are much straighter and then once in the higher lofted lob wedges tend to have a bit more of a slight curved leading edge. This is for a bit of versatility when you alter lie angle around the sole. Offset wise basically identical to that of the T22 👍🏻
