This was a great video when music video age took off in the 80's and I remember seeing this when I was in college. Not many people realize that this was filmed on what would become Neverland where he lived. It's a shame he and Paul had a falling out when Michael brought the Beatles Music catalog shortly after this song. He was singing to his sister who represented Diana Ross in the video. Michael Jackson had a huge crush on Diana.

This song was quite popular when I was a kid. Always enjoyed the video. The chemistry between Paul and Michael was beautiful. And yes, I always thought it was weird that Michael was trying to romance his sister lol.

Paul's song Pipes of Peace has an amazing video to it. It depicts a time around Christmas during the war when a German platoon and a British platoon had a temporary Peace and they played soccer together on the battle field. They then went back to fighting each other shortly after. Paul plays the parts of both a German commander and a British commander at the same time, meeting each other and sharing letters they received from home. It's based on the true events.

This was Pauls song, the Girl is Mine is Michael's, because he's a lover not a fighter, lol. We didn't know it was his sister until she did Playboy and THAT was all over the news.

This led to Paul giving Michael advice to buy music publishing rights and to keep his own, because the beatles got screwed when they started. This back fired because Michael bought the Beatles catalog and kept the Beatles from receiving more royalties for many years until legal troubles caused him to sell back to Yoko and the Beatles again in the mid 90s making McCartney the richest entertainer of the time estimating 500,000,000/year from music sales, tours, royalties.

Listen to You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling (with both Bobby Hatfield and Bill Medley) first then Unchained Melody (Bobby only). Then, You Are My Soul And My Inspiration (both again). A great story. They went around digging up money to give to the kids back in the orphanage. Paul did writing and production on the song. Michael's sister was just acting a part in their little movie. Probably made her some pocket money. Maybe she needed a little jump start to her career?

I believe at this time MJ and diana were engaged so he may have put his sister in the video as a symbolism to diana. MJ and diana were engaged from 1983 to when thriller came out and diana ran off and marry a Norwegian mountain climber leaving MJ heartbroken

I guess the idea for the video was probably for both Paul and Michael to have their woman partner in the video. Linda McCartney features prominently in the video, but I guess Michael didn't have a woman partner, so his sister was substituted instead (possibly a better option than Bubbles!)

Here they were friends but Michael asked Paul what he thought was the best way to invest money and Paul said music. Michael then said to Paul "i'm going to buy your songs meaning the songs of Beatles!" Paul kinda thought he was kidding but eventually found out Michael did buy rights for Beatles's music. It's a complicated story that The Beatles didn't owned their own songs. Paul got butthurt and this caused some hard feelings between the two of them. Nowadays the circle is closed since Paul owns the rights.
