You’ll love songs from his group Wings. Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey (Went #1 in 1971), “Jet” (from Band on the Run album - 1973), Nineteen Hundred and Eighty-Five (last track from the Band On the Run album. It was also the B side to the “Jet” single. “Maybe I’m Amazed” (the original version from his debut solo album-1970) and “With A Little Luck” (#1 from 1978) are just a sample of what this guy has done.

MJ was old school too, wich is also bizarre that little Michael with the Jacksons 5 in the 60s thruw the Beatles single "let it be" from the number 1# spot with their "ABC" hooooooow crazy is that. A freaking children group toping the Beatles. And they did it 4times 1#in a row . Again children...

This was iconuc per two forces if nature and music. It was during this time that Paul McCartney told MJ his lucrative buying music catalogs and publishing rights could be. MJ took the advice of Sir Paul to heart and when the Beatles catalog went up for sale, he bought half of all rights to the Beatles musical legacy to the dismay of Sir Paul after Yoko ono refused to purchase the Beatles catalog with Paul. So, it was a admirable friendship of two icons a bit spoiled by Paul's own advice to MJ.

The Beatles rights were sold decades earlier... by the Beatles members themselves. When MJ bought it, the ATV was the proprty of Holmes á Court, an australian businessman. For some reason people have zero problem with white millionaire businessmen buying that catalogue. But when a black musician buys it... all scream "blasphemy"

Yes "knighted" is when the Queen takes a sword to both shoulders. Wings songs are so good! Band on the Run, Silly Love Songs, Maybe I'm Amazed... Young Michael was so cute! But he was just so good (singing and dancing). The video is so fun. Sorry i try not to be negative, but Latoya as his interest. 😂 Paul and Linda were so in love. It was good that they did this together! Paul did a song with Stevie Wonder (Ebony and Ivory). Very 80's but worth a listen.

I think I'd enjoy your reactions even if you did an opera song (but don't do that!😝). I'm going to suggest an obscure Wings song with the thought that it'd be new for all of you (at least 2!). It also happens to be considered the best Wings song by more than a few fans. Nineteen Hundred and Eighty Five was on the album Band On The Run. Recorded in Africa, it features only 3 musicians, Paul, Paul's first wife keyboardist/backing vocals Linda (the blond in Say, Say, Say), and guitarist/backing vocals Denny Laine, plus there was an orchestra added later. These 3 members were the only constants thru the span of Wings' career, though others came and went. This was a love song Paul wrote to Linda: even in the future (1985 was chosen as the year because it comes after the year of the famous dytopian novel 1984), he wouldn't give in to the allure of another woman. Paul plays drums, piano, and lead guitar here in addition to his usual bass. The song is well constructed, with nice beats, piano sections, nice vocal harmony sections, and a climactic big finish complete with 60 piece orchestra. It ends with a short outro that is a reprise of the first song on the album, the title track Band On The Run (1985 is the last song on the album). Sorry for the long comment. m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/q6WwdWh9edB_oZo

Paul had the opportunity to buy the catalogue himself and he chose not to, and he had first refusal. Only after he asked them both did Michael buy the catalogue. This duet by Paul and Michael Jackson was a No. 1 hit, but it's not one of my favorite songs by either. It's just OK, IMHO. Paul and Michael had a No. 2 duet the year before from Michael's "Thriller" album called "The Girl Is Mine." To me, "TGIM" is also just another so-so good fluff song in the scheme of all things Paul and Michael. Paul had a better duet with Stevie Wonder from 1982 that went to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 called "Ebony and Ivory." It's a slowish ballad, but has a nice message. :-) ... Btw, Buddy Holly was an early rock 'n' roll/rockabilly pioneer from the late 1950s during the early Elvis era. The Beatles actually named their band (the Silver Beetles/Silver Beatles/Beatles) as an homage to the insect theme of Buddy Holly and the Crickets. Sadly, Buddy Holly, 22 ("That'll Be the Day," "Every Day," "Oh Boy"), Ritchie Valens, 17, ("La Bamba") and the Big Bopper, 28 ("Chantilly Lace") all died in a plane crash leaving a concert for the next gig on Feb. 3, 1959. Singer-songwriter Don McLean immortalized Buddy Holly's death in his epic No. 1 song from 1971 called "American Pie" when he sings about "the day the music died."
