i watch every video that you do, idk what it is but this one takes the cake. i love nano tanks and that fern combo'd with the dragon stone layout just screams experience. sand was a super nice touch as well. abosolutely loved the end look of the tank, even without the full plant grow-in.

Thank you so much for the link to the light stand! I have the exact same light (I believe I bought it on your recommendation), but it's been sitting unused in the box for the last year. The rimless tank I tried it on when I first got the light cracked, so I've been leery of trying it on any other tanks. I just ordered the stand through your link! Thank you so much.

Looking at getting this setup as I am looking for something small and simple. Does the light have to be on all the time? I assume not but am not very knowledgeable with this stuff. Also where would I get some small shrimp like that they complement the tank so well
@Sophia1991sd Жыл бұрын
beautiful 😍😍 I wish you explained what did you use to remove water from small tanks. because regular mechanical pump siphons don't work well in small tanks. it's easy to fill water in small tanks but I find removing water from them difficult. do you use a water pump and attach silicon tubes it? or just a simple siphon pump?
@jiayaw10 ай бұрын
Use tubing and start siphon with mouth lol and then drain to bucket using gravity

I’m moving to the Netherlands for college in a few months and I’m looking for ways to maybe keep a small and relatively cheap desktop aquarium, any tips? Do you think I’d be able to leave it at a fish tank store when I’m gone on vacation? Thanks!
@MJAquascaping Жыл бұрын
Yeah try something like this, and I don't know how long your vacations will be, but this can easily go without maintenance for a few weeks. I don't think fish stores will want to take it....

Love the setup! Would you recommend something like this for someone's first aquascape?

For a first aquascape I would go for something a little bit bigger. With a 30cm cube for example you can also add some fish

bad water with ammonia or nitrite is the most common reason for shrimp jumping
@detlefh.7090 Жыл бұрын
I have found another reason for shrimps to jump out. If the filter return splashes too much shrimp think (I quess) it's raining and time to search for a different habitat.

I’m pretty sure the answer is no… but I have a dilemma. I have 9 bajillion guppies and have been frantically separating everyone to different ponds and tanks to stop the baby production 😩 I have a five gallon portrait with four males who are brothers from my first batch of babies, they all grew up together in this tank and moved the girls to the pond outside and the rest of the males to a 20 gallon tank. Well one of them is a complete psycho, I’ve moved him and changed tank mates twice because he is a huge bully. My issue is I’m running out of ideas and options. I can’t keep buying tanks and don’t want to use the other five gallon I have for just him. Would it be “ok” to have him in a three gallon nano by himself? He’s relatively small. Maybe an inch long, four months old. He’s very beautiful and I’d like to keep him and possibly breed him, since this seems to be my life now. 🫠 so questions are is 3 gallon too small even if he’s small and solo and also, would his aggression pass on to his young? Any advice is welcomed. I’m new to this… but been guzzling info since November, when I decided I wanted a water feature for my garden 🙄 got some fish and whoops!!! On another note, anyone know how to sell guppies? Lol
