I love adding the chrome to top coat - I keep it in a separate container, it gives a beautiful soft shimmer finish when I want to jazz up a set or enhance a nude set.

@@shavellengadi4512 The # 4 is the closest. I usually use that one! It has a the golden, blue and pink undertone from the pink gel on the bottom! The one I used has gold en , blue, orange and pink from the pink color underneath. So what ever you color of gel polish or builder you have on underneath will show through because that’s an error doesn’t chrome. 🫶🏻💖✨

I’m going to buy the top coat you used because the one I’m using from a different brand makes the chrome come out so cloudy and matte looking. From your video im assuming #4 is supposed to be shiny. I think it’s what I seen you use on your client on your instagram post…& it was super shiny. The chrome looks much more shiny with the YN top coat you used!! Gotta get that one for sure! @@pattigolden4956 I actually never take them down close to my natural nail if I’m not wearing dimensional nails. When I wear a dimensional nails, I do it every time I change the look. I’m never damaging my nail because I always leave a tad bit of product left and if some comes off when I’m filing it’s okay because I’m not digging in the natural nail. As a nail tech., we need to pay attention how close we’re getting to the natural nail and with what efile bit we’re using. If you have trouble determining how far to go down… Use concealer, pink or concealer peach by Young Nails and you could see when you’re getting closer to the natural nail … if you see your color disappear, do not touch that part of your nail with your carbide bit. You don’t have to get off everything with your carbide because when you take it down to far , that’s what damages the nail. Then use the 150 Arbor band and it will feather the rest off as long as you’re using a very light touch and letting the bit do the work for you . What damage is the nails is not the dimensional nail it’s the tech that’s filing into the nail and not aren’t quite sure when just stopped filing.
