@@thefinalflash6211 The 14th Amendment used the term “citizen of the United States.” The courts have ruled that this means federal citizenship which is similar to a citizen of the District of Columbia. Since the federal government didn’t step in and tell Pennsylvania or New York that it couldn’t make State Citizens out of former black slaves, an argument could be made that the 14th Amendment was written primarily to afford [voluntary] citizenship to those of the black race that were recently freed by the 13th Amendment (Slaughter-House Cases, 16 Wall. 36, 71), and did not include Indians and others NOT born in and subject to the jurisdiction of the United States (McKay v. Cambell, 2 Sawy. 129), Thus, the Amendment recognized that “an individual can be a Citizen of one of the several States without being a citizen of the United States,” (U.S. v. Anthony, 24 Fed. Cas. 829, 830), or, “a citizen of the United States without being a Citizen of a State.” (Slaughter-House Cases, supra; cf. U.S. v. Cruikshank, 92 US 542, 549 (1875)).

@@thefinalflash6211 Did the Courts really say that someone could be a Citizen of a State without being a citizen of the United States? Yes, they did. It’s true that the cases cited above are old, some over 100 years old. None of these cases have ever been overturned by a more recent decision, so they are valid. A more recent case is Crosse v. Bd. of Supervisors, 221 A.2d 431 (1966) which says: “Both before and after the Fourteenth Amendment to the federal Constitution, it has not been necessary for a person to be a citizen of the United States in order to be a citizen of his state.” Citing U.S. v. Traditionally American student had some of the BEST education in civics! The design of US governance is relatively new and creative with a strong commitment to freedom. Americans have been proud of their invention of this "union of sovereign states" style of governance and they revere their Bill of Rights. As such, they have always done a great job of teaching each generation in school so they could "pass the torch" onto young Americans who will participate in governance in the future. Sadly, civics classes have been dropped from the school requirements in most states. Each year, fewer and fewer kids learn about state sovereignty or about the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Most parents today couldn't pass a basic quiz about the three branches of government (legislative, executive, and judiciary) and couldn't even tell you what a "constitution" is for. Parents don't understand it well enough to teach their kids and the schools don't need to do it either. In Canada, we don't call it "civics," but we have Social Studies that includes mandatory education about governance each year from about Grade 4 up to Grade 12. My kids are in junior high school. They're familiar with the role of a federal constitution, the contents of the _Constitution Act_ including the _Charter of Rights and Freedoms_ and they can talk meaningfully about that material. By the way, when I say that Americans are proud -- and SHOULD be proud -- of their country, I'm not saying it's perfect. They started this amazing experiment in freedom in the late 18th century, so surely there is room for improvement. My worry is that this improvement happens only through education and understanding. Each generation must teach civics so the kids actually UNDERSTAND their constitution. Only then can they work toward making their country even better. (For example, have you ever read the 14th Amendment?? Notice the mention of "male landowners." Ya think maybe this made sense at the time but could be updated today??) They stopped teaching civics in public school, so guys like this self-appointed "expert" are surprised to learn that the judiciary includes judges!!! He's clueless... and it might not be entirely his fault.

@HogTieChamp
@HogTieChamp Жыл бұрын
@@GoodnightJLH That's a great point. I'm certainly not suggesting that the reduction (or elimination) of proper civics education is the cause of this mess. To borrow your analogy, the schools could go ahead and stop teaching anything about the shape of the Earth and most people would still pick up the knowledge that it's round. I think the roots of all of this stuff (young-earth creationism, SovCit, anti-vax flat earther, etc) if found in an overall sense of entitlement to "respect my beliefs." I've spoken with many flat earthers and anti-vaxxers. At some point during a discussion of facts, the nutter will blurt out "I have a right to my opinion!" When you disagree with them, they'll say that you're "attacking" them. (Note that they can disagree with you and they can accuse every expert in any field of conspiracy, but by not agreeing with a nutter, YOU are "attacking" THEM.) Anywayz... Going back to civics... With flat-earth stuff and anti-vax stuff, at least students are taught the basics of it, then they have to buck against this teaching with they become an indignant nutter. With evolution and with civics, kids don't even learn the basics, so it's easier to be a misinformed nutter in these areas.

The SovCit Cits are partially right. US citizens have a constitutional right to travel. What they don't understand, and I've never seen a judge explain, is they are not being ticketed for illegally traveling. There are many modes of travel, you can walk, ride a bike, ride a horse, etc.. all without the need for a license or insurance. However, it is illegal to operate a motor vehicle on public roads, whether for purposes of travel or pleasure, without a license or insurance, and that is what they are being cited for, not simply for traveling.

I don't understand why the judge keeps citing the citizenship rules. It doesn't matter if you're a citizen. It's not like a french tourist can come to the US and rob a bank. You can't drive to Canada and commit crimes just because you're not Canadian. That's not how jurisdiction works.

You are confused, they are talking about recognized status in the United States. Citizen is the lowest form of status, it is slavery.
@terrybelden876
@terrybelden876 9 ай бұрын
It's about your status, when you where born you where a national of the state of the union you where born in. (Not the state of corporation) the highest form of status. Several days or weeks later your birth certificat was registered, you became property of the United States corporation ( a citizen aka slave of the corporation). Several years after that the state executed murdered your person and replaced it, with a ficticous all capital letter entity known as nobody and social security holds the death record. It is why you receive a summons to appear in court, they are summoning the dead to appear before them.

What she is saying is, yes you 'can' travel wherever and whenever you like, in other words, we have the ability and right to travel, but you 'need' to have the necessary documentation if you are going to do so by driving a car.'

The effort they put into these administrative Roman courts is far from a waste of time. They are standing up for the rights of every American. This goes much further then right to travel. The right to travel is just a matter that each and every patriot can stand on to expose the corruption in the system and the courts. What can you do without your masters permission. Can you travel in your private conveyance.? Can you build on your property or use it as you see fit? Can you purchase arms? Can you open and operate a business? No you need your masters permission for all of them. The American people are sovereign, as king, not under any authority. They cannot cause injury or loss to another. They cannot trespass on another's rights or property and until they do they have broken no real law and are free to live their lives as they see fit, not as their neighbors, a ficticous corporation masquerading as government, or some other ficticous authority official sees fit. Our founders where very wise.
