WTF!! What a brilliant rendering of this iconic pop song! And, who would have thought blending such a diverse, multilayered mix of instrumentation - so far from the original - would create this beautiful and glorious musical perfect storm! Whosoever idea it was to bring these superb talented heads together (which I assume had to be Mark) has shown some remarkable producing chops. Very well done, Lads!

OK, so here's the thing.........that was freakin' brilliant. Tighter than a debutante on prom night. Rhythm section to die for, pedal steel player who's off the charts......combined with superb guitar playing. Huge kudos from this ol' guitar slinger of 47+ years. Consider yourselves invited here and now to come join my ("closed") guitar group on Facebook, Guitar Players Group A-Z. Let's just say you'll be in VERY good company there (Rick Derringer, Rocky Athas, Rusty Burns before his untimely passing, Andy Tanas, Justin Johnson, Michael Angelo Batio, and most others you've never heard of but should. Superb job, gentlemen.......truly a superb job.

No, that's a bend. ;) Sounds to me like he switched to the bridge pickup... that natural harmonics of the drive and the hands give it that whammy-like harmonic.
