RIP Shaun. You stole the show in so many ways and still shone a light on the art and your collaborators at the same time.

The best thing about Snarky Puppy, apart from the obvious, is being able to find other really great music like this from the various projects of the individual musicians. Mark has just made my list of favorite people to listen to.

The intro guitar tone is simply gorgeous. I need to know how to get that sound! Obviously a lot of tone in Mark’s fingers but aside from the tc hall of fame and the grosh, I wonder what else is in the chain. This guy is fast becoming one of my absolute favorite players. Feel, phrasing, tone, composition, super diverse. What else could you ask for!

I just discovered your videos, have watched 3 or 4, and really love the phrasing. I hear bits of some of my favorite players; Jeff Beck, Scott Henderson, and Bill Frisell. You have a really nice combination of blues, jazz, open string chords with a nice variety of close and large intervals, volume swells, and that pedal steel/slide guitar, surfish sounding wammy; beautiful stuff!
