I developed a driveline vibration in my 85 Mercedes 300d. Let's take a look and see if we can find and fix the issue. Link to Driveshaft Support: amzn.to/3jr07U4

After 1982, MB had marked the front and rear portions of the driveshaft to take the guess work out of lining up the two pieces. On the universal joint there will be two marks and on the front portion of the driveshaft there is a single bump near the hex portion which is to be centered between to two marks. The single bump is hard to find, FYI!

I get a new drive shaft hanger mount I fill it in on both sides with urethane to make it stronger their ment rip In A crash all that rubber stuff is weak for that reason to make the drivetrain collapse but the oil leaks disintegrate those rubber parts. At the mercedes shop We used to swap the rear axles left to right so they pull on the riverside of the splines They do sell the U joint separately in Miami for $20. I'm going to rebuild my shaft with new ujoint new hanger bearing filled in on both sides with urethane sealant so it won't rip so ezilly replace the differential mount also filled in the open holes New stiffer sport mounts everywhere. I have 5 mercedes, get it done make it last

I have a replacement ujoint but you would need to grind out the old joint then center the new one and retain it somehow. I wish they just used clips.
