Just ordered the yarn for this and bought the pattern on Etsy! So excited to make this in the throw size😊😊 I ordered 4 balls of cream and 2 balls of Kombu green. Wanting this to be a Christmas Blanket but still something I can use all year round. I'm a beginner and sometimes have trouble following patterns but this video will come in handy for sure!

Thank you for this! I ended up picking up some of this yarn on sale and was wanting to make a blanket with it. I have searched everywhere for a pattern that had a video, and was also the look I was going for. im still a beginner, so having a video to follow is tremendously helpful to see if im doing the stitches correctly. I did purchase the pdf as well. I have a feeling everyone is going to want one of these when I finish mine. Thank you again

@EmilyCos Жыл бұрын
Me too! I am half way done and just realized it’s getting tighter as it goes and I’m following the video precisely! Always counting 64 stitches😢
@nikkinikole76102 ай бұрын
I know this comment is way late but this happened to me too. Made the larger throw size twice now. I think it’s the slip stitch rows. She does mention in the video that it gets tight easily. I tried to consciously do the slip stitch rows loose. Also when I completed the blanket I was able to sort of stretch it out and it stretches naturally and looks better. I also used stitch markers to make sure that I wasn’t actually loosing any stitches as I went. Hope this helps someone!

Love the blanket. Can you possibly use a #4 yarn for this blanket? Thank you

If you change the weight you will need to increase the number of stitches and rows for a similar size.

What is the multiple for the starting row?
@mjsoffthehook2 жыл бұрын
Any number
@sdtlawton2 жыл бұрын
@@mjsoffthehook But there has to be a multiple because on that 2nd row of combined single crochets, you end up with 1 final stitch. That wouldn’t happen with just any number of stitches.
@mjsoffthehook2 жыл бұрын
@@sdtlawton Multiple of 2. What I would have meant to say is any even number. Whoops.

When counting the double crochets, do I count JUST the stacked single crochet as 1 then the first double crochet as 2?? I’m struggling 10:38
@nikkinikole76102 ай бұрын
The stacked single crochet = 1 stitch. You basically are created a double crochet by stacking them so you count it as 1. Hopefully that helps.
@nikkinikole76102 ай бұрын
If you go back to like 9:10 ish and watch, you can see that the stacked looks like a double when she’s done and moves on, so it’s considered the first stitch of that row.

The pattern is a beginner rated pattern. I’m not teaching you how to crochet, I assume that you know basic crochet stitches. You can adjust the speed yourself through the settings on the video, if you don’t know how here is a video facebook.com/MJsOffTheHookDesigns/videos/487645280214916

The fact that the yarn and table look like the same color to you is WILD 😐 Change the speed of the video and listen to what she says, it's not hard! I'm a beginner and I could do this. If you want to crochet, put in a little bit of effort to understand 🙄

This video caught my eye because my best friend’s daughter is expecting and I wanted to make a crocheted blanket for her. I bought the exact brand yarn from Michael’s in my chosen colors and I’m sorry but this yarn is really poor quality. It literally pulls off the thread, and it’s a thread, not a core yarn and it just makes a big mess. It’s a very weak cotton thread in the center and it just snaps if you pull too hard. I’m very worried the blanket is just going to fall apart after several washes. I love your crochet patterns but this yarn is terrible.
