Did you notice a slight delay when applying throttle or braking? I have a basically identical JJRC C8811 and it has this delay, which is really annoying.

Yes definitely. Most of these inexpensive minis seem to have a delay. I was able to tune a little out but it definitely has a lag, especially in reverse. Thanks for sharing!
