MJX Motoblog - Exploring Loch Tay Area - Glen Quaich, Ben Lawers NR, Killin and Falls of Dochart

First longer ride out this year! Together with my mate Andy, we're exploring the area of the stunning Loch Tay. Setting off from Crieff, we're following the picturesque A822 towards Amulree, where we take the junction for Glen Quaich. This quiet, single track mountain pass takes us to Kenmore on Loch Tay, where we take the A827 towards Killin. We make a small detour to exlplore the Ben Lawers Nature Reserve, the Lawers Dam and Lochan na Lairige, all the way to Glen Lyon. Our plan wast to then follow the mountainous Glen Lyon road all the way back to Killin. The road, however, was closed and we had to turn back at Bridge of Balgie. Regardless, a different perspective made the journey back along the Lawers road equally interesting. On rejooining the A827, we headed for Killin and the timelessly beautiful Falls of Dochart! Enjoy!

We went past the Falls of Dochart when we came up from Loch Lomond in 2017 with the car on our UK circumnavigation - masses of tourists then and more water! another smashing vid - cant wait to ride me bike in bonnie scotland again.. 😍😍

Hi Gary, thank you. I'm glad you liked it! I was quite pleased with this one actually. Apart from the fact that the camera was pointing to far up I think (new helmet, so had to set it up again).... still, it's a work in progress...

I had to look him up, genuinely didn't have a clue who that was! He definitely has more hair than me! 🤣🤣 Yes, great roads, slow riding but amazing scenery! I can't wait to go moto-camping up north again! It's amazing... At least until it starts peeing down, or the midges get you! Ride safe!

Hi there, that was my first time up Glen Quaich on a bike. Did it once, about 8 years ago in a car but, as we all know, it's nowhere near the same! It's an awesome little road indeed. You're welcome to join me buddy. Where do you live?
