Good video mate. Fern traps are very reliable and durable, some of my Fenn traps are over 30 yrs old and still in good working order, did you know they also work good in shallow water !! Thanks for sharing mate 👍👌👏🇬🇧

Why do you need so much crushing power? The black cat rat trap doesn't spill the rats blood. It's clean and humane and it's known to kill 1kg bandicoots. Look up Amazon India black cat trap reviews and the pics attached. I just got a rat, and uploaded the pic to Amazon. 😁

So, just bought this on Ebay. And YES, it kills squirrels. Id say 7 out of 10 times it kills them instantly or very quickly. The other few times the squirrel is quick enough and it misses or, the squirrel frees itself and is mortally wounded. I average about 2 squirrels a day with this trap! It has really brought down the numbers noticeably!

Problem with the Black Cat is that it relies on bait and actuating arm has to go up (not down) whereas the Fenn needs no bait, just placing where the rats are running.

Great vid dad. great experiment, thought it was a good idea to test if you could pull the foam out as you know rats love pulling there heads out of things. body grip traps i feel personally are way more lethal. however less practical and scare the s**t out of me trying to set them lol.

mk 4 Fenn has the jaw power. Caught a Pole cat with mine. Used the head and blood of one of my birds he had killed to lure him in. Caught him by the foot and he tried to get away but I had the chain well pegged down. I should have used a mk 6 but I did not have one. Watching this has reminded me to get one. Cheers.

Fenn more powerful but can foul catch if set too heavy , no foul catches with Black cat, that said lightly set fenn will hit a rat and kill 99.9 % of the time

@@thegreatgatsby8180 I’ve used a fenn 6 last week for the first time and got a large rat in it on the second day and no blood spilled trap was clean .if it’s set up right at ground level.And plus I do use bate on them.
