the rip off that exhaust,instantly took me right back to the eighties,i'm sitting here grinning from ear to ear..that engine sounds amazing,what a stunningly beautiful MK1

There's something very special about mk1s.. a childhood dream of mine to own one... To think in the 80*s these would change hands for £200 or less 😭😭😭😭😭😭. Raised around the metal recycling industry I'd see hundreds being scrapped or dismantled 😢. A beautiful looking iconic thing !

I bought a rs2000 back in 1974.Whenever it needed a new exhaust I bought a standard ford exhaust as I preferred a quiet exhaust not bloody voom voom onesand I was only 24years old.

It don’t seem fast acceleration for 160. Bhp. My standard twin cam would have left it dead Are you sure of the bhp. It seems around 120 max.

Had a Problem with the carbs, it would miss if you accelerated too hard, it's fixed now, new jets.
