He found out that this used-car salesman (who, funny enough, was pretending to be an undercover agent) was making moves on his wife, and he wasn't sure if she had gone too far or not. Unfortunately, his little fake sting operation ended up with the both of them captured by the terrorists he was supposed to be keeping tabs on... As weirdly as the movie goes about it, it's a surprisingly wholesome message about honesty and how the act of marriage is not an excuse to keep working on the relationship.

I love the idea of the Terminator learning from Johnny Cage and picking up his humor. Reminds me of Sonic Battle and Emeral(I think that's their name) copying Sonic's personality.
