if you flawless block an u3/u2 and then punish them, the first hit does a little more damage

Pretty new to MK11, came from Tekken and was labbing Scorpion. He is pretty unsafe, and for the Misery Blade mix up is pretty weak tbh, yes you have mix up there... but even with amplify your opponent can still option select both hits (if you don't delay). Considering the risk and reward, you're risking %10 dmg of a risk of 1/3 or even more of your health bar! Hellport is high? I mean word... so you cannot even punish Jokers low projectiles when he amplifies it! Spear is only good for combos, and nothing is actually a true mix up. Even his Hellflame is not fullscreen for some reason. So, at fullscreen you suffer the most while not having anything outstanding up close. Demon Breath restands for a true throw mix up, considering the meter burning and the damage even when you get the throw, the spear variation makes the same a guaranteed damage without all that fuss. It looked pretty broken to me at the start, but when you compare it... Demon Breath just not worth it. All I see is a flashy character with very limited moveset, his strings are short so you barely can hitconfirm into a combo (like f3), super limited options and practical abilities (like Sin Blade and Demon Slam almost look as useless as they can get to take a slot). If you play competitively, your best bet is not to choose Scorpion. Just my take. Again, pretty new to the game and all that might be false.

@@omrizubary Avrik sure knows way more than that as a pro player, but just even on his level you can clearly see the difference between Liu Kang and Scorpion. He sure is a Scorpion loyalist, and can't blame the guy for wanting to have fun! haha. Wished NRS did better at balancing the game. As a beginner, I play Jax, pretty easy unless you want to do the quad grab (still easy but online is kinda hard) and optimal combos, Liu Kang is pretty straight forward and past two weeks labbed Fujin and love him, almost breaking through the execution barrier with him. Btw who has the best mid punisher in the game? Jacqui and Jax for the 9i mid? Or there is faster, or someone with 9i longer reach? Heard Scorpion can punish -7 with Demon Dash but labbed him and maybe they patched it?

If it can help you i have some personal piece of advice, for example: with johnny cage i use his command grab(mainly for corner combos); don't be "hasty" just do the string and then press every button, don't just slide your finger. He has some of the best stagger pressure in the game, for one. He has the ability to even out-zone zoners with his high, low and air fireballs- just a couple examples for you :)
