Im a little bit confused which Madbull DD mk18 rail should i get for my Krytac CRB, Should i get the MK18 M4A1 RIS II ? Or the Madbull DD AR15 Lite Rail for M4? Please help

Great video, but when I install my MK18 rail onto my Krytac Trident, the barrel starts to wobble. But when I take the rail off, the barrel doesn't wobble anymore. Why does this happen and how can I fix it?

I suppose the black version of the rail was out of stock? To be honest that's a really strange option for a rail. Heavy, odd colored and not as secure (if i got ot right you mentioned the rail be a bit wobbly). Overall that's an odd option to choose for a rail. Just sayin'

hey flez did you have a wobaly barrel when you put it on i did and just put electrical tape on the threads of the upper reciever

I just got mine in, and after getting it installed on my Krytac Rec7, I have the same outer barrel wobble. From what I can tell by looking at it, it's being caused by the barrel nut not being the correct depth to push the outer barrel tight up against the upper receiver. From what I've read/researched, you can fix this by using some Madbull barrel nut shims, or possible a different barrel nut? I haven't solved it yet, so don't take my word for it though lol

my mk18 rail (the same one here) will fit the upper, but my upper wont fit my lower then. I think part of the rail is somehow hitting the lower receiver and preventing the upper from sliding on all the way. anyone have similar problems, suggestions?

AngryPanda sameeee , just got mine and it won't let my bottom receiver screw go in , have you fixed it ?

EmanSnz I think my problem was that the center nut screws down too far, forcing the base plate too close to the upper receiver. when you mate the upper and lower, the base plate hits the lower. Haven't retried mounting the rail, but I did notice the base plate was unusually close to the upper. generally there's some gap between the two

you might be able to add a spacer between the center nut and the outer barrel so that the center nut doesn't screw down so far. bending a paper clip into a circle shape might work, also you can use the rubber piston o-ring as a spacer if you've got extra/old ones

If I were to get the 9inch version what outer barrel length should I get so the muzzle brake is as close to the rail as possible without going in the rail so I can have a suppressor fit almost flush with the rail.

How flush is the rail to the upper receiver ? I've tried the Madbull MFH but the rail was off at a vertical angle

what kind of receiver do you have? if you have a g&p you may need to rethread or get a special barrel nut.

some retailers sell 'desert tan' color but it's actually FDE. I bought this rail and confirm there are only two color variants available...black and fde

Joel Martin i had the same problem when fitting my block 2 rail to my vfc upper. i fixed it by taking the rubber spacers from the screws that hold the bottom portion of the rail to the main part and putting them in between the two bottom screws that go in towards the charging handle. they acted as shims.
