MK3 Supra - Single turbo 2JZ swap update/guide!

Almost complete with the 2JZ conversion and ready to send of to the tuners! 2JZ was out of an Aristo with 230k kms which performed flawless and comp tested well. Just upgraded valve springs and retainers, internally the rest is stock.

Holy Shiet man! This dude did his swap faster than me. My 2JZGTE is swapped into my Mk3 but I still need to finish the fuel system and get Aluminum intercooler piping made....not to mention, put on my engine wiring harness.

Like I know the 1j and 2j were more refined and forgiving of an engine but building a 7m must be a nice feeling. Anyways good videos wanna see the project continue

Excellent job on your 2JZ build and it's admirable that you do alot of the work yourself. Are you using your old Borg Warner S360 turbo on this engine? I have a built 7MGTE and cann't yet decide on S362 FMW aka billet or the S366 billet or the S360 regular. We have crappy 91 octane gas here in California.

Alex H thanks man! I reckon the s362 would be a great turbo, good response and good power. The s360 is great, sounds awesome but is a little slow to spool. I get full boost on unleaded at 4000rpm. But i also think I will be at its limits soon in terms of power

Fullboost at 4000 rpm is good. Is the S360 more responsive compared to your T78-33d?

Yeah I can’t wait to run e85 as well! Need to upgrade the fuel system a little more. Yeah the s360 is more responsive, probably 800-1000 rpm earlier gear depending

Hey man I really need help on the power steering swap set up. What reservoir did you end up using?

Hey bro I just used the stock 7M power steering reservoir. I just relocated it to the other side of the bay. I cut off the ends of the factory high pressure line, brought it to a hose shop and got them to make the line to length I needed.

Not sure of the year, It’s just one from the 1UZ motor. Was new off ebay
