What I like your review format is that you talk most of the time, giving lots of information. That differs from a lot of other reviewers who mainly do beamshots. I don’t find those videos as enjoyable because, being busy, I rarely sit down JUST to watch a video. I’m always doing something else and listening to the video in the background, occasionally looking up at the screen. Enjoyed your beamshots, too, though. They’re very real-world. Nice job. Oh, and the L7 comparison shots were cool, too. I have one on order - can’t wait to get it and see how far it throws!

I appreciate your praise!

Alright. You've convinced me. I kept thinking a little bit of throw would make one of these models really pop... But it's just not in the cards - it seems to always go back to that rather firm divide between flood & throw. It's really hard to have both with much success... Great comparison, -Cheule-, I love seeing you photon-bomb your entire street!

You should get a drone shot when testing th 1km throw so you can clearly make out if the light is illuminating the water tower at all. Just a suggestion.

I just recently bought the X50 and the MK 38 ,both with XHP 70 neutral tint. AWESOME ! I will try to at least do a quick comparison in the next few days. Won’t be as good as yours though, I just can’t make the time to do all that editing

Great comparison. Thanks!

I thought the whole point of the GT is the CRI and it incidentally happens to be a decent thrower LED. I've got plenty of soda can lights and they are mostly floody and mostly low CRI. The X50 is just what I need and I'd be all over it if I could justify the expense.

I have a video coming out in a couple days that pits two X50s against each other, the XHP70.2 and the GT-FC40. I found the XHP70.2 was better. Look for it soon.

With a reflector that size I didn't expect to see much difference in throw.

Now I’m curious which one will hold the turbo longer between the manker and the Acebeam x50.
@cheule2 жыл бұрын
I didn’t test which would hold longer before “step down” occurs. But with the X50 70.2 and the MK38 70.2, the X50 sustains lumens better from 0s. The Manker drops faster. I’ll probably release a 70.2 only Manker vs AceBeam video shortly.

I’d like to argue with you. But could you first explain what CRI is? :)
@cheule2 жыл бұрын
Color Rendition Index. Basically how well colors show under that emitter’s light. I’ll mark this down as a future video.

@@cheule thanks - I appreciate the explanation :)

Imalent now has 65k lumens soda can size light. Think it’s called the ms12 mini. Just don’t trust the reliability of Imalent although I wouldn’t mind having it of course
@cheule2 жыл бұрын
Looks like I might be getting the MS12 mini after all! Stay tuned!

If the x50 had replaceable batteries it would have been a no brainer for me

GT FC 40 is love, GT FC 40 is life. ;P
@cheule2 жыл бұрын
You love it huh? So far I haven’t found a light with FC40 that I entirely love more than 70.2.

@@cheule I'm to receive a Convoy M21B with that LED (also a S2+ 219b SW45k). The 50.2 and 70.2 seem to be best in term of output and efficiency, but I really wanted to dive into that high CRI flashlight world that the subredidit is so obsessed with :P Might get a 70.2 LED in the future though :P (if you have a favourite flashlight with that emitter, let me know)
