Mk3 variant W8 4motion sounds insane, yes. Also, that would claim most of the parts you could sell and make some money from. Making the money would make more sence, considering you'd have more to spent on current projects, on the other hand, u never know what prices will do in the furture on those engines. Whoo... tough

Power wise, it isn't that much more than a tuned vr6 plus the availability of parts. Now I think it would be a cool get it running project. As far as swap, I personally would stay away. It does have a fun sounding daydream for swap possibilities though

Hey, Chris. I’m not sure if you would be interested ? But there is a 1997 Golf, Joker edition, on EBay. The auction is up to $6500, and the reserve hasn’t been met yet. The car has only 12K original miles on it. From the photos, it looks great. The auction ends in about 23 hours. Also the car is located in north west, i believe in Colorado ? Sure looks nice ! I would buy this W8 Passat for parts to improve your current W8 Passat. Then use the W8 in this car for a future project car on the channel. Then sell the parts you don't need to recoup some the money to for this purchase.

I restore and build project cars for a living its not as easy as you may think. first you have to check if it fits in the engine bay figure out about rear dif. Gearbox where it will fit probably you will end up cutting the tunnel. There is so much stuff that needs replacing and fabricating. It will cost you so much money and time. In my opinion its not worth it. Don't get me wrong it cool defenitely

W8 engine swap for the long term win 😉 have you considered a Passat wagon for the swap with the full all wheel drive system swap as well . You can pull all the drive train and swap it the Passat Wagons are the next step from the Golf / Bora wagon and even more space when you need to head to the junk yard😏😊👍. Just wondering if you even have Passat Wagons in the States , did they ever send any from Europe??? 🧐
