I have never felt such relief to find this video. I'm running a red dash light and my power steering is gone in my 06 Rabbit 2.5. I've cleaned the grounds and am soon to remove the entire battery tray in an effort to locate what I hope to be is just a broken wire. But I've also been told it might be the module has burnt out. Picked up these codes: 00569 - current, power steering motor Open circuit 00778 - steering angle sensor intermittent If you've got any clues, hints or tips for me, I'd truly appreciate it. I've been pulling my hair out trying to figure this thing out - I live in the middle of the Utah desert, so there's not much in the way of electronic power steering repairs. Nobody will even look at my car! haha.

Nice job I swapped the signal cc arm from 2009 jetta tdi going in for the buyback into the 2009 tiguan I just picked up because the cc did not work. This fixed it. The jetta was easy but the tiguan had an extra part in the way of that inner clip and made it harder to release. If you don't have a small metal rule like that a hacksaw blade will work.

Intermittent no horn and airbag fault led me to replace the clock spring of my mkv GTI using this awesome tutorial. Worked like a charm, except the snap clip bit from 4:15-4:20. There is no access like that on the GTI's module and instead I used a needle to move the snap clip through the smaller hole below, as shown here: www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/Volkswagen_Golf_GTI_Mk_V/90-ELEC-Steering_Column_Stalks_Replacement/images_med/pic12.jpg Also, releasing the rear left connector is easier once the module is off. After clearing the codes that airbag fault has not returned (yet). Thanks!

hi i need your help "Good afternoon" I have a 2006 jetta which removed the steering wheel to paint it, the problem was that the position of the clock spring moved and now I turn on the focus of the steering wheel in red and the direction is very hard. With scanning and erasing the errors will re-operate the address

You need to take the steering wheel off and reposition the clock spring - by rotating it in the direction that will enable you to turn the steering wheel & wheel completely - from left to right.
