Really helpful, i didnt have anything to pull the thing but i had door panel removed so i just did it with my finger, thank you👍

@andrew hi, yes when the door doesnt have the panel, it has a black "hard" plastica that can be removed and you are able to "see" inside the door, i didnt really see the little thing that you have to pull ,but i felt it and i pushed it with my hand, and i wouldn't know thats how you remove it , if it wasnt for this video.

Thank you. How do you remove that plastic insert underneath the key cap? The paint all around my passenger door handle well is bubbled up. Unbelievable that I did not notice it until yesterday. Driver side shows no problem. I need to remove the rust and re-paint.

Other videos I've seen say to insert the hook into the larger of the two holes. Is there a variation from model to model? I have a 2 door Golf MK7 2015.

Its slightly different due to the wires you follow the same steps but have to pull out the lock and unplug the wires
