Do you have to replace with the new bolts/nuts for those one-time use? Thanks!
@HardwayLearning11 ай бұрын
It's recommended to replace any aluminum torque to yield bolts. I do not think I replaced any for this install.

Any binding noises with these? Im about to pull the trigger on these but keep reading that they make noise over bumps.
@HardwayLearning Жыл бұрын
I don't recall having a binding issue. If people have noises, there's a good chance it's the strut bearing or they didn't install the spring end into the little rubber piece on the bottom correctly

do you need to torque down the bolts to the excact ft Ibs?

There's probably a 5 ft-lb window that's fine, curious why you ask?

How does it compare to your MSS ride quality?
@HardwayLearning Жыл бұрын
Pretty similarly, the GTI doesn't have DCC so you get what you get sort of deal. I think it was well worth it to go to a full coilover though!

@@HardwayLearning trying to decide if I should spend the money for MSS or go for 034. Any thoughts?
@HardwayLearning Жыл бұрын
@@derrickgarcia303 I'd probably look at reviews for them. In theory they should all be pretty comparable because they should be targeting a close rate that pairs with the stock damper rate. Some companies may lean to a higher spring rate that favors a more sporty ride, but compromises on comfort. I thought the 034 rate was matched pretty well in this case, but it can be fairly subjective.

@HardwayLearning4 жыл бұрын
Typically lowering springs do not impact DCC, but I can't say for sure as my car does not have DCC. We did install lowering springs on my buddy's 8V RS3 that has DCC and we had no issues with it.
