My first SCCA Pro Solo in Cleveland last weekend. Pro Solo involves running 4 back to back runs, on two different courses, switching from the left to right courses after each run. You do this 3 times over 1.5 days for a total of 12 runs, 6 on each side. Your best left and right times are added together to get your total time. You time starts on the green light of a drag racing style tree, not when you cross a start beam, so the start is critical. For 2024, STH cars are grouped with GS, HS, and FSP cars in S5 and the PAX is used to determine your final time. I finished 9th out of 11 in class. Struggled with not being able to hear my tires communicating how close I was to the limit. I learned my car has a significant delay off the line. Not sure whether it was a the high mileage or the tune???. As a result I had trouble with consistent starts and had to start accelerating much sooner than anyone else I spoke to. I was generally losing 2 to 3 tenths at the start of my runs.
