MK7 Jetta 1.4T Luft-Technik Intake System Sounds | ECS Tuning

Installed this in my mk7 and I can say it is incredible. Absolutely gave the 1.4 a fuller sound. Reminiscent of the bigger 2.0 version. Taking it through the entire rev range we see an increase in response and torque, tackling highway overtaking and acceleration with newfound aplomb. Not to mention the beautiful sound, exhibiting a soft smooth tone at low rpm as well as push a serious power symphony at the upper limits. It is indeed rare, in my opinion, to see it out of such a small displacement engine. If anyone is hesitating to buy this go out and do so. You will not regret it, it enhanced the driving experience and is worth every single penny!

Just installed it in my jetta and I'm extremely happy with the way it sounds. I really don't care too much about a power increase because the sound alone is amazing.

Installed mine 4 days ago. Excellent sound . A deep tone growl especially going through the gears since I have a 1.4 tsi Jetta 5 manual. Exactly what I was looking for in sound. Throttle is a bit more responsive as well, yet I do have an injen pedal X pro also.

That’s just the intake and the turbo. No BOV. These have a Diverter valve instead

I had a MK6 1.4tsi Stage2 and it was a fun car.. trade it for an MK6 Sportwagen 2.5 5spd Stage1.. and it's as fun but it sounds so much better

how did you like being stage 2? looking into it but just don't know if the $$ is worth it for the little extra power

@@nickchristofora3417 It feels alright for a little 1.4tsi. But the turbo dosen't have enough flow pass 5.5k rpm and you can feel that it tapers off. But from 2k to 5.5k stage 2 gives it a lot of punch. I recommend it 100%

@@nickchristofora3417 I had Stage 2 with stock cat downpipe.. it is the most cost effective way. Of course you lose about 10ish hp and you'll just be able to do 1-2 big pull before ECU retard timing to protect the cat from melting.. it was my daily not my go fast car tho.. I didn't care about the 0-60 time.. it was just to make it a fun and enjoyable daily.

Does anyone ever notice a rattle in the engine during idle? I have had this intake for a while but recently noticed a rattle in idle. When I press down on the heat shield the rattle goes away. Seems to be something underneath the heat shield that vibrates against it but I can’t figure it out

No to everything. I have it and installed it myself. The vw dealer near me in Atlanta doesn’t even mind tuned cars with aftermarket parts so yea.

some of the hardwares kinda meh… prepare to sand down the hole for the secondary air intake, the trim is a pain in the ass to work with left mine off, clip nuts… use a nut and bolt instead for the scoop… besides that sounds and looks great
