Honestly, they use the phone less these days. But the good side is, they do more work on a single device rather than having separate devices. Mr Mobile has put it really good in his foldables' videos. Once you open the screen you will WANT to do something productive instead of recreational. That's what I have observed.

So not everyone is like me, but I have had a fold 2 for about 6 months and I use it just as much. The outer screen is narrow, you get used to it, so text or phone calls are a breeze. I find myself using it for long content like Facebook, reddit, etc. If I'm doing anything else I open it and I will never get sick of opening it up. It still feels like magic

mine is a little different but i have a samsung zflip and I have been using the camera A LOT for photos and videos because of its ability to fold and stay in place at a certain angle. watching youtube vids when im multitasking or doing a video call is easier since i don't have to lean my phone against anything. it's also very compact so i can put it in my pocket.

I still feel like the outward fold is what I want out of a folding phone, though the screens aren't durable enough yet. I wonder if you could make two separate screens with essentially no bezel in the middle, that meet as close as possible when unfolded? It would certainly still have a little bit of a gap in between, but then you could actually make the displays out of glass. Sorta like the Surface foldable but with the displays all the way in and flipped around.

i feel the whole fold-able move by companies is to get their name out there as technologically advanced and all. They would like the product to make it, but they know the odds are against that. That's why they don't bother subsidizing the price for the average consumer.
