Honestly, I was really impressed by the airdots save for the clicky buttons. All of these headphones are essentially disposable given the limited life span of batteries, so spending £15 on airdots rather than £150 on airpods seemed entirely reasonable. Ended up buying the Haylou GT1s for their touch sensitive housings since they're practically the same as the airdots.

I've been a hi-end hi-fi enthusiast for 30 years and it is very difficult to please me with sound quality. I used all kinds of earbuds with my iPhone for conversation recently, but their musical performance was mediocre. I did not expect much from Airpods pro either but boy was I surprised! They sound amazing to the point of unbelievable provided their size. So now I can really enjoy my music not only on my hi-end setup at home but on the go too! And while their noise canceling is good, the transparency mode is just perfect.

personally i think the apple watch is a bigger acheivement than airpods; wireless headphones are cool but apple weren't first to market and wearables are the future imo. apple have best smart watch by a mile, and after getting an apple watch myself on black friday i'm surpised by how it well it can legitimately replace my phone if it had to. that's saying a lot since it's the series 3 which is currently 2 generations old and i didn't get the cellular version

Ok, so you are saying that just putting these small devices in your ears that instantly connect to whatever device you are using, cancel the noise, and provide high quality AAC grade audio, all while allowing you to move freely, are not at least more convenient than wired headphones. Tangling has never really been an issue for me, cause my headphones have nice cables. I also frequently plug my beefy portable PA system into my phone to pump my music. Plug and play is too easy for me to fiddle with Bluetooth. Moon is right. When Bluetooth is as simple and as high quality as plugging in the 3.5 jack, I'll make the full switch. Until then, I'll buy a phone with an extra hole.
