​@@peternguyen7530 Maybe we are a little late on this. During the story, I was stock by how nonchalant Raiden was with killing the Shao Kahn from another timeline during the Shang Tsung chapter. Also, during Raiden's ladder ending, Raiden was not happy about how he was made a mortal and sought out Scorpion to unlock his full potential. It is as thought it is fated the Master (Liu Kang) and Apprentice (Raiden) will always come to blow.

@@Dantinus Perhaps, but I would believe that Lord Liu Kang would also tell MK1 Raiden this cycle of them fighting, but the latter does want to achieve his potential, yet he doesn't want to start a fued with the one who chose him. So, to at least deviate the cycle, Liu Kang and MK1 Scorpion would teach him that absolute power corrupts absolutely, so MK1 Raiden would better himself before achieving his potential, then they might spar against each other some day.

Hell the retcon causes a big plot hole in MK9 since it was established that after she killed herself Sindel also created a barrier to protect earthrealm from invasions which is why Kahn and Quan Chi resurrected her to remove the barrier. My only issue with this is, why tell Sindel and others that you are a time god. Like at all? Bring them to the lab and other proof should be more then enough but why reveal himself as their "god" of all sudden.
