I have a Yuanjing TA2020 amp which was sitting on my shelf for nearly a year and I just recently set it up. The board was completely gone over, repairing any dry solder joints (I completely reflowed the TA2020-020 amp chip for good measure). I also replaced the 1uF capacitor with a tantalum cap. It is powered with a vintage Johnson base station power supply which supplies more than enough power. Currently I have two recently refurbished Boston HD5 monitors connected to it.

Oh...I just noticed you are using the same amplifier board. I should add that I am using an 18-gauge DC power cord from an old medical power supply which fits nicely into the board's existing DC jack.

i personally prefer MKIII Tripath TA2020 it gives out alot clearer sound & bass than a lp-808,i currently install the MKIII Tripath TA2020 amp in a couple of other builds ive done for friends and everyone seems pleased ,battery life is probably about the same as the lp-808,this depends on the playing volume as well, anyway if you have the money to buy a MKIII Tripath TA2020 £18 then i recommend you get this amp you wont be disappointed

Hey I saw your other video using the LP-808. Which amp do you prefer? Which lasts longer on the battery?

Do you have or could you supply a diagram of how it's all wired especially the battery and how it's charged?
